Personally for custom Builds I would look @ Stone computers or for Standard desktops the Lenovo Kit is brilliant.

When you go to whats my IP you are most likely either getting a proxy servers external address or the main IP on the firewall. This most likely has multiple alias IP's of which one is Network Address Translated to your internal address.

Yeah I would change the DNS Forwarders to something like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 as long as these are reachable - does suggest that the DNS forwarder set as the primary is throwing a wobbly and DNS is not using the secondary or secondary is wrong.

N-central can I presume Zabbix can as I believe it uses the linux system proxy but don't use it anymore. EDIT: N-Central isnt free

Thats not bad for BT - you must be right next to the Exchange (or near). They quoted me 22k. Well worth talking to other providers as well as personally I would just try and avoid BT's network were possible!! The other thing to consider is the support and SLA - does that price include an ADSL backup line? 100% uptime and financial reimbursements should they mess up? @Edu-IT - for a 100mb leased line thats a decent price.

Yes it should be as long as you keep your DC and exchange in sync in terms of backups. I would however setup something like Veeam which will automate the backup and dump the snapshots to a share.

yes and if crapita run Exchange 2010 they should easily able to bulk export the files to PST's for you with some simple powershell commands and provide you with the PST's.

For Free tools Zabbix is brilliant. For paid software's I have used GFI Max and more recently N-Able's NCentral but this is more geared towards MSP's market.

This could be interesting in terms of BYOD - although it would mean leaving data on third party machines VMware Mirage (Formerly Wanova) Although with VDI these days BYOD could be implemented so easily. Including connect from anywhere etc VMware View currently has client for - Windows, OSX, Ubuntu Linux, IOS and Android - with there being an open source version which has been complied to run on loads of other OS's - including the Raspberry PI

I can't see there being bandwidth problems - unless they are sending huge amounts of data from clients to servers - but in a building with 5 phones I can't imagine it being loads.

Most phones with ethernet pass through will do and support the vlan tagging. (you untag the port for voice and tag for data - or vice versa depending on the system). IMHO if they are only going to be having 4-5 phones at each remote site and the likely hood that all 5 are going to be used is minimal and even at max 5 x 80Kbs = 0.4mb of bandwidth required. If needs be later on QOS can be setup but QOS can be a pita to setup.

You can easily setup a Vlan Interface on the watchguard alternatively you can just use a third interface and connect this to an untagged phone vlan port on the switch. You then just need to add the IP Subnets to the VPN's. If you are only having 4-5 phones at the remote sites I wouldn't even bother setting up QOS (too much effort). If you are going to do it over the VPN's I believe on the watchguard's you will need separate subnets for the different sites as the BOVPN will not support sending the same subnet over it (from my experience).
