the thing is with that is even the most rubbish of filter should pick it up. It's the higher level stuff like proxy's with completely random url's which tend to trouble the filters. @tom_newton or any of the other smoothie guys must have some good techniques.

Tried that once and blew myself up - I think a capacitor still had a slight charge as I blew air into the unit (it had been off powered down but not unplugged all night). Then Boom I went a little red faced. But as others have said it tends to be when they cook or get old. If its in warranty send it back if not try dismantling. and cleaning else buy a new one!

Meraki's "cloud" controller means every access point when plugs in looks to the meraki servers for its configuration downloads it to the ap and runs it (and keeps checking back every so often). You have to pay a yearly fee for the cloud controller but the software and AP's work really well. Find a US reseller (or go direct) they will arrange a demo.

What i say on a post the other day was swap taskmanager file with something different. Windows then blocks when trying to launch and you can rename it and launch it that way. No idea if it works or not - the old advantage to blocking it i can see is the run command (which as long as share perms are ok shouldn't make a difference) and being able to log people off if its a terminal server.

Yup - i just had a client the other day not be able to add a new server into his cluster and had installed 5.1 instead of 5 - so we had to do the VCenter update.

If you use Vcenter upgrade vcenter first then the esxi servers.

I used to buy 19" LG widescreen VGA monitors for about 54 quid! Couldn't argue with that and were fairly reliable. Mainly if fault it was DOA rather then develop faults. Had over 400 of them in the end.

Also the new Lenovo laptop models are reallllly nice. I was setting up some t430u's last week which were loverly!!
