I a bit worried that a Sophos UTM is not going to be as good as a Smoothwall UTM for filtering. As it does not go the dynamic content analysis.

As a current Bloxx user I am unsure about migrating to Sophos. As Smoothwall offers dynamic contented classification this could be a help in not having stuff blocked that does not need to be? Also Smoothwall reporting is looks better than Sophos which is a report on a schedule. If broken out into yearly cost the Smoothwall solution is £1000 more expensive per year. Or are people going with a cheaper web filter and using some thing like Impero or Netsupport DNA to bridge the gap.

I am using veeam Endpoint to Nas for the SIMS and file server I then plan to duplicate this back to the backup server. I then take a weekly veeam zip backup of both servers. My question is what would be best to copy to tape for the file sever and SIMS the Veeam Zip or the Veeam endpoint folder?

I thought about this you got servers that you only want to be able to go back a month then sims/fms and fileserver that you want to go back ages on.

Thanks law makers for making it difficult for non drivers to use other people's cars. Seems that taking the LAG off the ports on tge netgear switch fixed the issue.

One host is not ping able from one machine but is from other machine. From the host with the issue i can ping another machine in the same sub net any suggestions I can't ping from other host as it is NAS box.

How do you update mac form the mac server as it was setup before I got here some pointer would help. How do you deploy applications from the mac server or is it more like deploy to an ipad deploying apps?
