  1. I hear e4education have just joined Juniper Education - I wonder how that will affect their products and services.
  2. Well spotted - sometimes you just can't see the wood.....
  3. Is there an Edugeek stand this year? I've checked the BETT 2013 site Exhibitor Search page but cannot find edugeek listed.
  4. Was that the trick question?
  5. At the risk of being told off for discussing salaries in this thread - but since I am responding to a point made subsequent to that warning, and that point hasn't been removed/moderated - I would like to make the observation that there were already wild differences in salaries for similar roles in similar schools and locations. I don't think Academies will change things much in that respect.
  6. I'd like to elicit some feedback on this product please, from anyone who's implemented it within their school.
  7. I cannot find this job via the link provided. Has anyone else had any success?
  8. Can someone say how much "Scale 10 Point 35 – 42" equates to please
  9. Not supported anymore? Can anyone corroborate what Tony thinks?
  10. Anyone got any experience of Learnwise? Is it any good?
  11. Funny guy! Nova T-4 still in daily use here - November 2009.
  12. anyone used compman.co.uk (computer manuals) or sprintbooks or bookfellas who all seem to be cheaper than amazon uk for computer manuals? just wondering about reliability, delivery times etc?
  13. Thank you all for your feedback.
  14. I'd like to canvas feedback on what those of you using print management software are charging your secondary school students for printing and what "free printing" allowances you give them. Thinking about introducing something here but no idea what tarriff to use. Not attempting to recover full costs - simply to discourage wasteful behaviours.
  15. Yes, I remember seeing this one about six months or so ago and I recall at the time the absence of any remuneration details, which put me off. It makes you wonder whether those responsible for putting together recruitment adverts realise they are limiting the numbers of potential respondents through this non-disclosure approach.
  16. Don't underestimate the ability of "the powers that be" to appoint a complete numpty - I've seen it so many times. In any case, just because the competition is great there is no need to write off your own chances - get in there and fight! PS it's "creme de la creme" btw
  17. £250? - we had been led to believe it would cost about ten times that!
  18. What are the criteria dictating which version of SQL2005 is needed, e.g. is it no. of users or something else? Trying to work out the budget hit!
  19. Looking at training courses/paths for schools IT technicians/network and server administrators. Can anyone with experience of some or all of the above certifications offer any guidance as to the relative merits of each body. There seems to be a bewildering array of courses out there but it's difficult to decide on whose certification path is best. Any constructive views would be most welcome. In particular I'm unsure as to whether Microsoft and Cisco's offerings might be too vendor specific? Is this a valid concern?
  20. Anyone have any experience of the eZe personalised learning platform from eZeSchools? Looking at their website, http://www.ezeschools.co.uk, they look new to this field, e.g. their software demo is not yet available and they don't show any details of any existing client base. Just wondered if anyone knew anything about them.
