Only if you can get picture evidence. And remember, only RM bears are allowed to be abused in such ways. It would be cruel to any other bear.

If you want a good, valid reason for NEEDING photo's on SIMS or any other database held by HR or similar. One of the main reasons Students photo's are put on SIMS, is so that during a fire or similar reason for evacuating the building, if a person is missing, a Picture of the person can be given to the emergency services so they can ID who they have found. This is just as true for Staff as it is for students. It's also a security thing.

Honestly I don't especially care about the bear as such. It's the principle of the teacher has stolen our stuff from our office, and she had the cheek to post her own pictures of the bear being lovingly cared for, after we'd spend much time and effort making it as uncomfortable as possible. The pics were uploaded to facebook too!

Already about a day ahead of you on that one.... We bought a new mascot bear, the mascot of her favourite Rugby team, and have been sending regular photo's to her of various threatened tortures. Her background has been suitably changed to accomodate this! The RM bear has been well hidden, we have searched her teaching room a few times, and we believe the bear has now gone home with her!

As an additional, anyone who cannot part with their bear, but may want to assist the cause, please post your torture pictures here. Here is the last photo we had of the bear before it was captured. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything to the teacher that impacts on their ability to teach, but the thought had crossed our mind about bannage!

Some 2-3 years ago, at a Technical Seminar for RM, some little Teddybears with White T-shirts bearing an RM logo were given out freely to those who attended. We had one in the office as the office mascot/anger management tool; whenever we have a dislike towards RM, the teddy bear took the brunt of it. Unfortunately, some evil teacher has stolen our bear, and refusing to give it back! After many attempts at Blackmail and threatened torture to other teddy bears, we have come up with a cunning plan; My Network manager has decided we need to acquire a NEW RM bear to pretend we've captured the original back. So please, if anyone has one of these and can be parted from it, please get in contact with me here. We wil pay up to £10 english pounds for one of these bears. 1 Network manager (Full time 37 hours + 2.5 hours paid OT at lunch), 2 Technicians (one of them me) Same hours as above, but I am Term Time only. We get more 'real' work done when the teachers/students aren't here than any other time. Simply because it's very hard to run a new network cable, or install a new whiteboard, or refit an intellidesk when there's 30 kids in the room. Plus things like full room rebuilds/software installs take a lot of time, and students/teachers don't like it when you decom a classroom for a day to rebuild it.

OK, so I felt under paid and under appreciated before.... I get paid £5 for 30 minutes work at a lunchtime And I have to pay for my own lunches, at about £1.60 for a plain sandwich; hot food is £2.70

We're a secondary school, and looking at buying some new wireless gear for productions, assemblies, large classes, dance/drama (Aerobics gear) and similar. I've seen this stuff about requiring licenses from the JFMG for wireless devices for this type of use, but frankly I can't see how/why they can get away with charging what they are, which appears to be £672 PER FREQUENCY, PER YEAR! Now we already have radio's for communications across the school, plus a school-wide wireless network (on 2.4GHz G wireless), along with 4-6 wireless sets we already use. We were looking at getting another 10 UHF radio mic's, and at that cost £7000 per year just to use them, I cannot believe everyone else pays this amount. Any information people can give on this subject would be greatly appreciated. -Do we need to buy these licenses, per frequency per year? -Are we covered by some generic license to use them? -Is there some cheaper alternative to this? I know other schools and organisations that have these devices, and I frankly cannot believe people are paying nearly £700 per year each on these. Regards, Neil Fisher
