round2it

yea whats with the fat32 only on the ps3 i had to break out the swiss army knife on my 500gb HD I have a larger sata drive waiting to go in but i am waiting for the 40gb to die first. Its been in for 2 years now and it gets some stick so im sure it will die soon

The speed increase is not that great 7200rpm Vs. 5400rpm: Does PS3 hard drive speed matter?, Feature Story from GamePro these guys did quite a good test.

Play.com (UK) : Western Digital Scorpio WD3200BEVT 320GB 2.5" Internal SATA Hard Drive (Sony Playstation PS3 Compatible) : Computing - Free Delivery these are ok for the money

I looks like a wider problem that i first thought. I hope it gets sorted soon.

TextAnywhere we find this great as you can export out of your mis and upload the details to the site. very school friendy

anyone got any news on this issue

I think it is bad news for the PS3 look what happened to the psp no one brought out any decent games for 2 years. just shovel ware. Just as the PS3 was gathering a head of steam with some great releases and half decent firmware upgrades 3 years to be hacked is pretty good and to be honest it is going to be a while before we see something usable happen with this Whats the betting that sony is going to release a firmware update soon. Time for some MW2.............

ring dell and ask for the master reset code for your machine sometimes you might need to fax them some information but they are pretty quick i have used them a few times

Thanks for the heads up

i will ask a couple of other schools in our area to see if they have the same problem

i did associate the the files to the standalone player just to get them working and thanks for the links i am going to sit down today and get my head round it all.

revisiting this one New findings if i copy a swf file to the local machine it will run in internet explorer if i run it from a network share it just gives me a white screen. i cant get my head round this (its something simple) what have i missed Looked at intranet security and nothing jumped out at me or am i looking in the wrong place.

ok the problem was with our mandatory profile being corrupted somehow. Just gonna have to re create all the little changes i have done over the years. Argggggggg

Am i correct that other users from different lea's have had a very similar problem. i found this while searching but it has not been fixed yet http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/42596-4od-player-embc.html?highlight=4od

Hi all Is anyone else having problems with 4od only playing the adverts then it just sits there with a blank screen without any error messages. Very helpful then when the user goes to the 4od website again the play button on the videos is missing. Flash java and shockwave fully up to date. The machine have just been reimaged also. checked internet filtering its just weird that the adverts play but the content does not. we are using the YHGFL grid any ideas would be great

im just glad you all got some before they sold out or ended up on ebay.

i would not have got them at the full price but for 2 quid who cares have you seen the price of t-shirts these days you dont get much change out of a fiver. they are ideal for knocking about in dont know if i dare put the just F****ing google it one at work yet.

OCS Inventory NG - Welcome to OCS Inventory NG web site ! i use this to inventory all our machines its free and does a pretty good job. it is client based but it is easily pushed out by msi

is this a lesson on self help? I have many of those moments.

do you think it is teacher proof it has more than 3 buttons alternatives?

Hi What software do you use for Video Conferncing I am looking for something teacher proof and free would be nice any ideas?

gonna have a look now.

anyone else found any good cheap stuff online

ok the issue is now fixed we had to delete the administrator.domainname user profile and then log back on and let the system recreate a profile (copied it first though) you loose all your ie settings etc icons but thats no biggie. sims was not affected fms wanted to know where the fmsconnect.ini was and thats it the printers now work and i can set default etc. thought i would add this info as im sure someone else had the same problem.
