server 2003 currently i can not set a default printer the option is in the context menu but it does not apply. has anyone come across this or has a registry fix as i need a default printer for FMS sims as it is a bit funny that way delete all printers cleared spooler restared server a few times checked permissions tried a new admin level user same issue kind of desparate to get this fixed can anyone help.

dont know if this will help im asuming you are using mandator profiles for pupils i had an issue like this and it was down to security settings that are stored in a file called settings.sol stored in the application data folder macromedia \support \flashplayer \sys \of the mandatory profile. it is buried deep in ther somewhere look through the settings and see if anything jumps out at you security wise you edit the settings from this website Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel its a long shot but you might want to try it.

Hi all I have a problem with .gif files not working in internet explorer 7 under administrator all is fine no problems when a user or teacher with a mandatory profile goes to the same website .gif files do not show for example the outlet button at the top of the page on edugeek just displays a red cross where the button should be. I think this must be a gpo issue but can not figure out which one could be causing this. i have sp3 on the machines could this be the issue. Anyone have any ideas We have the ie7 adm installed on the server ANY IDEAS Dom UPDATE : When i look at the properties of the button it says type not available

just downgrading some acers right now getting rid of all the bloat i hate new machines..... I have not seen any for a while the last three brands we got lenovo and 2x acer all had vista installed and the downgrade discs... its a pain but i only have to do it once then image them out.
