  1. Finally got it sorted with help from a chap on RM Communities In case anyone is interested or has the same problem/issue. I had to use the netcopy installer instead of the RM CC3 one, and then create my own CC3.ini file and place it into the package folder so it can be imported into the RMMC for allocation. The ini file contains the following : [Package] Description=Serif WebPlus X5 OS=5.WS WIPackage=SERIF WEBPLUS X5.MSI
  2. Its version X5, pretty sure its not a dodgey disc as installing it locally to a machine seems fine. Boo.
  3. Grrr...starting to drive me up the wall now. Getting nowhere with this. Have tried using the install for CC3 networks (run it on the server, then import via the RMMC) and this has worked for over Serif programs fine. Not so for Webplus though...error in the event log points to a missing file 'patch1.cab' which I can't find anywhere. Had a suggestion to try using the file 'netcopy.exe' to install it on the server and then import it from the RMMC...but via this method I don't see any CC3 or CC4 metadata files that allow importing. Any RM bods out there who could help?
  4. He he.....oh yes. It no like the snow and ice thats for sure. Bought mine pretty much on a 'whim' to be honest...the Escort I had was near death and it was hot that week, really warm (about 3 years ago). spotted it, 1 owner from new 22k on the clock and thought "Hey, its hot and summer! Always fancied me a convertible....". Got it and then it promptly rained for the rest of the summer.....my mates blamed me.

  7. Yeah, pretty much (and what I do). Just wondered if there was an 'official' RM one to follow and tick off (my SLT like things to be 'ticked off' on forms etc). Thanks for the help guys, thinking I will just type up an in house one for the techs to follow.
  8. Does anyone know if an RM check list exists to follow when testing a newly built package? I have been told that there is, but for the life of me can't find it on RM's site. Just started a new position, and my manager would like the techs to follow a checklist when testing packages, and seems sure that one is out there. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
  9. Hello! When trying to open a Publisher file given to me by a member of staff I get the error message "Publisher has detected a problem in the file you are trying to open. To protect your computer, Publisher will not open the file". Googled it and found fixes for earlier versions of Office (via registry edits)....but nothing for the Office 2010 suits. Any ideas anyone? Or is the file just corrupted?
  10. Thanks for the info. The tasks are being sent to a virtual machine on the network. I shall keep an eye on them and hopfully they will clear themselves then.
  11. They have been stuck since yesterday lunchtime...got 4 of them stuck. I'm tring to cancel a couple of package installs and uninstalls. They currently don't seem to be causing problems as you say, but I would just like to get rid of 'em to neaten things up. Can't understand why force cancel seems to do nothing?
  12. Hello! Hope this is in the right place. I have some tasks that appear to be 'stuck' in the RMMC tasks\In Progress area. I tried cancelling them, but they continue to just sit there saying 'cancelling' and have also tried to force termination of them but this does nowt also. If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful.
  13. And here is another one...strutting its funky stuff
