have you tried turning off uac (and if so how ive seen turning it off by gpo rather than manually do some odd things)

youve said your user has permissions are they explicit (so admin1) or implicit (group domain admins) ive found uac can be a bit of a pita on servers and ive needed to add my account direct not as part of a group before

in the case of at least dells you can mange it by booting into the lifecycle controller and using the gui there to make changes

no command and conquer with ai so iffy you could use sandbag walls to block them in their own base(or just surround their harvesters and wait till they run out of cash)

finished persona 5 this morning(and then immediately started new game plus) boy is the ending long have a couple of hours free as you know youre on the last boss the dialogue basically tells you and there arnt any more save points for 90 mins or so (obviously depending on how long it takes you to kill it and i was levelled up (73)enough it was more time consuming than hard but it did one shot my character once so had to start again). WHo you have a relationship with and who you have maxed out does make a difference to the the end events so if you want more interaction with a characters get them maxed out or you cant talk to them. think my playtime was something in the order of 110 hour and theres an entire arcana i missed and apparently from the trophys some side missions i suspect my new game plus wont go anywhere fast as im not willing to put as much time a day into it and fire emblem echos is out a week on friday and im still playing mario kart 8 deluxe and snakes pass looks fun and for a change a short game not another 100 hour plus one which will make a change recently

copy the xml file to c:\windows and point gpo at that ive found thats more reliable

diddnt gpo get "broken" a while ago so you cant just put a user/group against a policy as the pc then cant read/apply it you need to add say staff and domain computers

thats where targeting comes in it wont show for anyone not in the target group. I generally have my drive map policy at domain root level so it can apply to everyone but only allow specific drives to specific groups

you might do better putting them all on 1 policy but using targeting to give out the slt/sims drive maps rather than a separate policy

from my testing the start menu issue is if you disable cortana via applocker(assuming its the one i had where it looked ok but greyed out and you couldnt use it) i stopped that rebuilt the pc (as ive found applocker policies dont remove well and it was 1 test laptop) and the start menu seemed happy again but not tried mandatory profiles i canned then with windows 7. I did find with mdt you had to make sure you updated the adk and mdt before you imported the image or it had issues deploying it to a real pc (worked fine on a vm for some reason laptops i tried it on just sat there after installing drivers on a black screen for ever)

they dont see domains as being the future imo just something they have to pay lip service to for now till they get everyone on azure/office 365. My thinking is that windows just isnt designed any more to be a true multiuser os (just look at first logon times in windows 10 compared to windows 7 on the same box) its designed to be its my device (maybe my significant other/kids have accounts but only local/ms cloud ones) its designed as a byod/cloud os so intune/office 365 can apply password policies and you can publish stuff to your own store but thats all the control admin need right?

id leave all the store related stuff as there is a gpo to force it to use the business store so at best they can see your curated list of apps don't give em a logon or have any approved apps they will see nothing anyway that way the stores there if you ever need it for anything but effectively neutered

even just having cortanna blocked for pupils and logging in as admin was enough apparently to break the startmenu. rebuilt it off domain but otherwise identical start menu was fine added new ous (and added all but my applocker policy it was fine added a revised applocker policy and its now fine) I hate how you don't seem to be able to undo applocker rules they appear to be set in stone once activated requiring a rebuild to fix

with raid one without fiddling i suspect not as its a 2 drive (minus hot swap) system. you might be able to convert it to raid 5/10 but it depends on the card/software and with mixed size drives not an ideal proposition (unless you dont mind using 1tb drives as 500gb) as above id just add it as a 2nd raid 1 array and have an E:

ive not watched any dr who this season and ive had rogue one on bluray since release and its still in the cellophane. I think the fact theres a new film every year takes away from the franchise tbh but its all about the $$$ so it will be run into the ground so much nobody will care in 20 years. That said over the last year or so ive been matching less tv/film anyway i just dont seem to get as much out of it as i used to
