  3. In the options -> actions tab select 'restore folder structure'
  4. Could give recuva a go? Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download remember to power off (not shut down) the machine asap, and slave the drive to another to do the recover.
  5. Seconded: get them to email you to that effect. Otherwise it'll just be your problem later....
  6. I don't know what you mean Have you also tried enabling the lock screen gestures? For instance I've one which turns the torch function on or off after drawing a curve on the screen - handy for fumbling in the dark
  7. We've a Tunis office, and they quite regularly just have the internet turned off, no warning or anything - it makes for some interesting support calls.. On a more relevant note, the outcry of twitter users about this was quite something - except of course no one in egypt can see them
  8. Thats a great thing right there! strange they wouldn't want the recognition though...
  9. What about using webdav on an exisiting server? you don't get the nice synced client but you can use AD accounts and have a bit more control Using WebDAV with IIS

  15. Hey all, quick heads up - over the next couple of weeks Facebook is rolling out a https option for users. Its a simple change, but definitely worth implementing as soon as its available more info here: A Continued Commitment to Security | Facebook

  18. Not a Vega. Just talk to Ric_ about that one Really, the best bet is to look at the supported devices list - then go to the support forum for each manufacturer and see what their response to lync issues is like. It's still very new, so there's not a single gateway that's appeared as a leader yet. That said, if you can SIP trunk to your exisiting phone system, you can stick up a TrixBox vm and let that do the conversion to allow the mediation service to talk to it - done it with great results in a couple of offices.
  19. I'd still see if you could stretch to 12gb per box. Lync will use everything it can get, so having breathing room is always a good option - you never know when those 100 people might all try to voice dial at once
  20. Hey, hands in the air - I'm no dev. twas simply an idea, I don't even know if theres an open source OCR framework available to build on, just jumped to mind.
  21. Danger Will Robinson... Running in a Virtualized Environment At least 4 cores per virtual machine running a Lync server role - that are constantly available JUST for that box. This is to use the Realtime codec translation. After using OCS/Lync in anger in 6 offices, I can honestly say rolling out on physical hardware is a much easier option.
  22. Okay, what about one that could be used to snap a photo of a service tag/serial number of a machine and add it to a list/database through some OCR wizardry?
