Do you really need to share that? Oh, you mean the beans.

Lovely stuff. I usually have one mug a day, first thing. I would never drink this in the afternoon unless I was really hanging.

I was told recently by a Zulu gentleman, that if I keep drinking black coffee, I will die soon. His name was Wiseman... but I still argued with him, I told him I had been drinking it like that since I lived in Germany, late 70s.

I'm going through some Brian Wogan bulk bought coffee beans, as my partner closed down her cafe in July, otherwise I buy one of these and one Fair Trade pack.

Not a fan then? I have to agree, only a couple of radio stations are worth bothering with... occasionally.

The Archers on iPlayer... I'm usually gone before the end.

...and it looks nothing like Marc Bolan.

About 100 schools updated, no problems reported.

There are plenty on here who will know the GPO route.....

Sorry, my expertise is not in Networks, just SIMS.

This is the SIMPerm.bat which needs editing: @echo off if "%1" == "" goto :usage SubInAcl /FILE "%WINDIR%\SIMS.INI" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /KEYREG HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes /GRANT=%1 SubInAcl /KEYREG HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID /GRANT=%1 SubInAcl /KEYREG HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface /GRANT=%1 SubInAcl /KEYREG HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib /GRANT=%1 if "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%" == "" goto :skip_simsapps SubInAcl /FILE "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\SIMS Applications\*.*" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /FILE "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\SIMS Applications" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /SUBDIRECTORIES "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\SIMS Applications\*.*" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /SUBDIRECTORIES "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\SIMS Applications" /GRANT=%1=F goto :after_profile_warning :skip_simsapps echo. echo ** WARNING: The Environment Variable for All Users Profiles is not set on this pc, echo ** cannot grant permissions for the SIMS Applications Program Folder. echo. :after_profile_warning if "%ProgramFiles%" == "" goto :skip_simsdir SubInAcl /FILE "%ProgramFiles%\SIMS\*.*" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /FILE "%ProgramFiles%\SIMS" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /SUBDIRECTORIES "%ProgramFiles%\SIMS\*.*" /GRANT=%1=F SubInAcl /SUBDIRECTORIES "%ProgramFiles%\SIMS" /GRANT=%1=F goto :after_simsdir_warning :skip_simsdir echo. echo ** WARNING: The Environment Variable for the Program Files Folder is not set on this pc, echo ** cannot grant permissions to the SIMS Application Folder. echo. :after_simsdir_warning goto :end :usage echo. echo "Usage simsperm [domain]\ or simsperm [domain]\" echo. :end

You also need to give users full access to the root of the Folder this error refers to.

I mean is there a clear line between the licence and support, or is it bundled into one package? Support being problems with the software, upgrades etc. What did the school sign for in the contract? I'm sure each LA/School agreement is different.
-
I can't see the LA are doing anything wrong legally. Morally??? Maybe. The LA owns the licence. The school and LA must have agreed the change in contract. Yes, the school can keep the LA licence and find other support, but how is the licence tied in with the support?
-
If you run SIMSApplicationSetup.exe as a user, what happens?
-
You're just being ridiculous. Oh, hold on.... the signed in triplicate is actually true in some cases. Fill out forms. Sign. Copy. Copy. email.
-
No idea why so much. I'm sure there are legal considerations, but still standard routine. There will be a fair amount of moving of places on lists, Solus etc.
-
The LA can transfer the licence, for a "small" administration fee (£200 I believe). But that is their choice.
-
Users need to have full access to the Setups folder. There is a file there called SIMSPerm.bat that will give an idea what access they need. I assume you are using SOLUS 2
-
If the LA owns the licence, which is likely, the school would need to purchase a licence.

Costco?
