I have posed the question on Twitter about which anti Votebot software they use.... will I get an answer?

We put a lot of work into getting votes. It left a bad taste in the mouth when they suddenly hid the results. Not a company to get involved with in future.

Not happy with that. The vote tally, not the coming 2nd.

Mine is free with Nationwide. Have used it once and can't fault it. Not sure if it works for couples.

Since getting my tablet, I have lost track of the number of times I have touched a laptop screen, or my Kindle screen and wondered why nothing happens. I thought it was age, like walking out of the house looking for my phone, and tell the person on the phone I cannot find my phone.

I'm not so sure. Maybe in Europe, maybe they don't know our history with Spain . It's about their 2nd or 3rd year in the US. I certainly don't think they had any idea what they were getting into.

The latest is that the winners will be announced at the end of this week. Why so long when they say they stand by the votes recieved. A lot of bad feeling in Bristol, regardless of our placing, about the sudden unannounced hiding of votes and the suggestions of improper voting which was then denied by Medline. Thanks to all those who voted I'm sure we will get 2nd place and we all did it for a good cause. Next time I'll arrange fundraising rather than give Medline publicity.

There is some chat on Twitter about voting discrepancies. I'm not into Twitter or Spanish, so none the wiser. They have added as many votes today as they got through most of the contest.

There is a suggestion it's gone viral. But I've not seen anything to indicate that.

La Paz are 12,000 plus in front now. I understand this is being investigated, so please keep voting. Hopefully they will be disqualified and the next group down from us will get the 4,000 euro prize.

Something dodgy going on

Back in the UK now. This W8 machine was setup before I arrived. There is no AD. I have to keep it simple as the person who looks after the It as best he can, on a voluntary basis (like most of the staff) is not that IT literate. This was the first time I had worked with W8. I tried a piece of software that asked for a password but I found it too confusing for children who at best would currently get 1/2 hour a week on a PC.

We have heard they were stripped of votes for cheating.

I might be being thick here or not explaining properly. We have a load of XP machines needing to access certain areas on the D drive of the W8 machine. They are on the same workgroup and I have them all seeing each other. What I need is a password pop up if a pupil tries to access the Admin folder or Teacher's folder. I can see how to restrict for users logging into the W8 machine but not into shared folders from the XPs.

In have a day left in S Africa so sorry if this has been asked. Is there a good way to password protect folders in W8. It is being used as a file server here in a school.

I haven't been able to vote for 2 days. It says I have voted already.

It's a two horse race. We tend to get about 500 votes ahead of each other.

80 votes and we could get to 18,000 before Madrid.
