Intune - iOS App Deployment - A better way?
sideone replied to Planehazza's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
We use dynamic groups for the devices, based on use (e.g. Staff Devices, Year 1, Year 2 etc). Apps are assigned to these groups so Staff Devices get (for example) ClassDojo, iMovie, and OneDrive. The group memberships are set by device name template. So we add a device to Intune, rename it according to the template (e.g. SchoolName-ipad-Staff-01) and the device gets added to the group automatically, which then picks up policies and apps. -
Staff randomly unable to log in at home - local profile?
sideone replied to synaesthesia's topic in Windows 11
Following, we had this happen to one user yesterday. -
Yes, I meant separate virtual servers on the same physical machine.

Yeah, agreed. Are there any gotchas for creating a second domain on the same host and network? I don't want to stop our current AD from working whilst setting up the second.
-
Hi all, We're currently merging trusts and we're looking to rename / replace the AD domain that our users sign in to, and then sync those users to our existing M365 tenancy. It's tricky to find comprehensive documentation but as I understand: Option 1 - second domain - Create new VM server, promote to DC - Create new domain on this new DC called the new name - Create two way trust with old DC - Add the second AD domain to Entra Connect to allow new users to sync - Slowly migrate users and devices from old domain to new one, keeping both in place until all are moved Option 2 - rename existing domain - Use rendom to rename the existing domain whilst keeping old users & devices in place Option 2 sounds more prone to errors, but is there anything that I've missed? Any good documentation on option 1? Thanks

Yup, we use the Cyber Essentials page here: https://ce-knowledge-hub.iasme.co.uk/space/CEKH/2643591475/Apple+iOS+-+Tablets+and+Smartphones -

These devices are not Cyber Essentials compliant, sorry. We're retiring them, and can quote you for replacements if necessary. Generally works fine, even if it doesn't always go down well. -
We bought the older version of this: https://www.cosatto.com/products/wow-3-rotate-bundle-meadow By the time child #2 had come around, the wheels' rubber had worn off to the plastic - a quick phone call to the help centre and four new wheels were posted out free of charge. Buy a second "dock" for the car seat if you have two cars.

The salary is £28,000 to £32,000 per annum - you need to download the JD and read to page ten to find this out!

What issues are you having with Impero Education Pro? We use it daily and seems OK. -
That's what we do, and it works well.

Do you need to buy a certain quantity for these? Do you have a SKU for the laptop at all? Cheers

So no action required? -
Same, but finding if the staff member signs into Word (or other Office application) and chooses "sign me into all apps" the PC will remember the login token and sign into OneDrive automatically.
