Hi guys, we have migrated from SIMS to SIMS Connected. Our data manager, used to be able to print all reports by selecting reports > all students names > print and it would print everyone's report itself. Now that we are on SIMS connected, we have a universal printer setup that allows printing from the SIMS server to our local printers. The only issue with this is, now, when she runs all reports, it's showing up with the pop-up and she has to individually select print, print, print for every students report. Is there a way to counter this? Thank you in advance!

InVentry is the sign in/out system we use. It has options for both sixth formers with a sixth form mode and normal pupils. Any pupil that is late has to sign into the system in reception and SIMS automatically marks them as L. It is a very great as you can also run reports on a specific person to see all days they were in and late. We have all staff sign in on it too. You can also set it up with Paxton doors and you can set badges up on it so they can scan in. I would look more into it and do your own research on it as I am only an apprentice new into the IT field but so far it has been nothing but golden for us. Hi, Yes I did this since InVentry never responded and there phoneline was spammed with calls. I went into the MIS server > Services and restarted both the InVentry Service Monitor and InVentry SIMS Connect API (Our MIS is SIMS). After 10 minutes, I checked InVentry again and it started saying Completed not Pending. -

Good Morning, Our InVentry system is synced to our MIS (SIMS). Usually pupils who arrive late will be picked up by InVentry and automatically updated on SIMS. However, we have been having an issue with the marks just being stuck on pending. They aren't updating on SIMS. Any suggestions?

True, I think the SOLUS fix would be best. I will have a look into the MIS server and SOLUS on why it deploys SIMS updates perfectly for some machines and not for others. Thank you guys for the support.

Good Morning, I am an Apprentice within IT and I need help. (Please bare in mind that I am still learning the concepts/fundamentals and how to use Windows Admin Tools). We use Windows Deployment Service to create and deploy our images, however, our images never include SIMS which we always have to manually install onto the machines. Is there a way we could have GPM (Group Policy Management) install SIMS onto the OU for staff? I did speak to my network manager about this and he said with scripting we probably could. We have to also add the connect.ini file into the SIMS .net folder after installing SIMS and we need to change the security permissions to allow everyone on that config file. Not to mention the pain of SOLUS never deploying the SIMS updates correctly so we have to painfully update them manually. Would this really be possible? Has anyone tried something similar? Or has been able to accomplish deploying SIMS remotely?

Hi IRL, that is the exact one my colleague used when he tried this on the same DELL laptop and it has showed the USB NIC (IPV4) boot for him. Thank you all for the help. I am guessing it is the LAN to USB adapter and I will most likely borrow his until I am done building all the laptops.

Hi, Thank you for the response and checking for me! Unfourtently No. Nothing shows up under Windows Boot Manager. I have enabled UEFI Network Stack before hand and still same issue. The LAN to USB A adapter we have here is a UGREEN one which one of my colleagues had given me. This adapter worked perfectly for a geobook PXE boot I had done. I am just having issues with the Dell laptops. IRL I have tried using it on both of the USB ports on the laptop, it still has not worked. I will look at that thread, thank you.

Hello, I am an apprentice within IT and I need some assistant. (I do not know much technical terms yet as I am still learning so please be advised). We have Dell Latitude 3190 laptops at my workplace which were given to us by the DfE during Covid-19 time to deploy for home working/learning. We still have 12 of these in my office, which we plan to deploy using an IpV4 network boot. We have brought a LAN to USB adapter as these laptops do not have ethernet ports on them. I then went into the BIOS and enabled the network stack as I had been told too. The only issue is, Once enabling this and going back to the F12 boot up, it only shows Windows Boot Manager. It will not allow me to boot in any other mode. I have even enabled boot with USB and changed the fastboot options as was advised. I am stuck. I am not sure what to do. On normal DELL desktops, I have noticed there was additional options that allowed it to PXE boot that doesn't seem to be on this BIOS? Could I please get some support please. Thank you.
