Brief Description
Remit Training is recruiting on behalf of Badminton, leading independent school for girls. Founded in 1858, the school occupies an attractive 15 acre campus in the northwest of Bristol. The Network Services Department is busy and dynamic, supporting every aspect of the School’s use of ICT and related technologies; and they're seeking an Apprentice
Qualifications Required
GCSE Grade C or 4 and above with English and Maths
Personal Qualities
Applicants will be personable, of smart appearance and have good social skills. They will be organised, punctual and efficient in organising their workload and managing their time effectively
Skills Required
Experience in the following will be beneficial:
• User Operating Systems such as Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, ChromeOS and Android
• Server Operating Systems such as Windows Server or Linux
• Computer hardware installation and troubleshooting
• Software Installation and troubleshooting
• A basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, DHCP, DNS)
• Front line ICT Support
• Microsoft Office and cloud based technologies such as OneDrive, Teams, Sharepoint.
Future Prospects
As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you’ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & Maths Functional Skills Level 2.
Our client aim to provide opportunities for further employment at the end of this training; subject to successful completion the course, objective and funding being available.

Badminton is a leading independent school for girls. Founded in 1858, the school occupies an attractive 15 acre campus in the north-west of Bristol and admits girls from age 3 - 18. Academic standards at Badminton are high but the emphasis is on all-round education and on providing numerous opportunities for personal development.
Duties & Responsibilities;
• Provide first line technical support for staff, pupils and parents via telephone, helpdesk and in person.
• Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software faults, escalating as required.
• Install and upgrade ICT hardware and software
• Perform proactive maintenance on all ICT systems, ensuring equipment is clean, fit for purpose and working well.
• Support the rollout of new systems or ICT initiatives.
• Support the use of ICT in teaching and learning.
• Other duties as may reasonably be directed by the Network Services Manager.
