Thanks for the tip, assume this is also available through ITunes? Trying to limit the work carried out by the end user. I don't want to have to explain that they have to disabled the security feature to allow installation from anywhere else other than iTunes?

Hello All I have a quick question about encrypting USB's and which OS will read Bitlocker enabled usb devices. I have used bitlocker to encrypt a usb on a windows 10 pc and testing compatibility across multiple OS's that I can my hands on with a view to sourcing standard USB's which I will encrypt before distributing to staff. I want to know whether the USB will be readable across the common OS that our staff our likely to have on their computers. I have already tested the usb on the OS that I have at my disposal. so if anyone can fill in the "???" or have any input would be greatly appreciated. the ones I am more concerned about is home OS and mac as the majority of staff will likely have them Windows XP - NO (I anticipated this but was just curious. lets face it there will be one person who has a WXP machine) Windows 7 Home - ??? Windows 7 Professional - works Windows 7 Enterprise - works Windows Vista - ??? Windows 8 and 8.1 - ??? Windows 10 Education - works Mac OS's - ????????????????

thanks GTECH for your input. as you correctly mentioned it is the 7th gen cpu which intel no longer support 32bit drivers. whilst I managed to find all the other drivers I have had to settle with standard VGA driver supporting a max res of 1366x 768 which admittedly is not bad for normal day to day operations but not ideal really either. Hi bit late to this thread. I experienced these exact symptoms and whilst I never found a permanent solution I created a script which fixes the issue temporarily I found that the symptoms present themselves after a power failure or illegal shutdown corrupting the WBEM repository. The ACS hang I assume is the computer trying to repair the repository. My script when run terminates dependent services and removes the repository allowing it to rebuild itself after the pc is restarted Read my post user tag Paul6790 where you will find a script I created that. I would appreciate if you let me know how you get on. I suspect it will be ok also but with canon specifically not including server support, I am looking for someone who has done it before I buy. I have priced up an ImageProGraf Pro 1000 which is £900 A2 model that does specifically list support for server os.

Can you confirm that you have this installed on a server operating system and shared out to your windows clients? the pro 100 on the canon website also claims no support for server os's thanks all

We have considered a managed solution as our preferred option however we are currently under contract with someone who we are looking to part company with once our term is up in 2 and half years and don't wish to add anything that will extend the contract we already have Thanks.

Replaced a few c50 monitors myself that showed similar symptoms as you are having. on all occasions a replacement screen was required and fitted. Relative easy to replace but fiddly especially for anyone who has hands bigger than an infants Be warned that screens slightly differ between sub-models. I don't think it does but wouldn't want to bet my life on it. Main reason for thinking that is I performed the update myself whilst accidently leaving myself logged in to sims. It only kicked me out when the sims update started. Like I said don't quote me on it. I would always perform updates at a scheduled time when staff know not to use sims

Isn't this kind of over thinking the issue. If student are caught using a mobile in lesson (unless it is a tailored in to the lesson which is rare) they are confiscated. Not every problem requires an IT solution. If it is a problem in your school arming your teachers with that knowledge will make them more vigilant. Everything else is over complicating the issue and we all know most teachers struggle with anything which is the slightest bit complicated

If it were a pre req, It will tell you when you attempt to deploy autumn release by adding it automatically. I performed the 3.11 solus upgrade separately before deploying autumn release. Is there a reason why you wouldn't perform solus update first. Chances are it will probably be OK.

Also whilst doing this some of the reports that had text filters. Staff had used a filter with text that wasn't a valid response. Found this would make sims sit in a loop for ages

Try redesigning the reports from scratch. I had a case of this where staff had created a report years ago. Redesigned the report from scratch and it ran better. Took me ages to find the culprit though. Still waiting for capita to action the change request to allow admin to delete other users created reports.

I have very little experience with rear projection and could not offer any advice on permanent fixture. But on the very few occasion in the last 10 years, I implemented a king size bed sheet fitted with a sewn in pole to allow as a weight with a standard classroom Epson eb x## model behind the bed sheet. Not sure if it is overkill but you could write a powershell script that writes to the event log to run on logon. +1 ubiquiti here. Great cameras but be careful of the poe ratings. Some models of ubiquit use 24v poe so therefore require an in line adapter which transforms the standard 48v from poe switches down to 24v. The alternative would be to use the poe injector on a non poe switch which is supplied with all ubiquity products

I had this on windows 7 and suspected it was the installation of printer drivers over group policy. It was difficult to tie down to anything specific as it was random and intermittent and only for the first login. We moved to scripting printer installation and never had the problem since
