  1. I have never heard of Locker before - how have they fared for you?
  2. You know, I feel I remember something like this and just put up with it. I had to match every user one by one rather than doing 2+
  3. Ours worked fine last year - just a simple button click or two and it was sorted. You had issues? I spoke to them maybe two weeks ago and they said that they had internal issues.
  4. Thanks lofasonan, I will have a look into this with my manager, hopefully it is something as straight forward as that! Was it any conflict specifically? If there's any possibilities from any other user, please let me know!
  5. Hello, We've been testing a Windows 11 deployment through SCCM so that we can migrate our school PCs/Laptops to it before W10 goes out of support, and one main issue that we've come across that has halted our progress is that when the deployment has finished and you can log in, the log in process takes a considerable amount of time, and then when you go to File Explorer and double-click any mapped drive, the whole window freezes. We found that you can navigate to the drive if you type in the address for it, but the actual shortcut in File Explorer completely freezes everything up. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue, as it's not something we're aware of? I believe it's going onto 23H2, and is just a standard W11 build with our image config pasted over the top. Any knowledge or understanding would be appreciated!
  6. After looking into it further - it seems the whoever has set the new sync up mustn't have put specific OU's into the AAD sync, as I have moved an account from one OU to another, and all of sudden it has started to sync with the Synchronization Service. Annoyingly I cannot access this as I have to wait for the person who has the password for the AD Connect so that we can manage what OUs get picked up. It still doesn't explain why the sync is slow though? Is there somewhere in AD Connect where you can set how long the sync takes or something along those lines? I'll update again when I can actually get access to the configuration. I would like to say that I've learnt quite a bit about diagnosis for this specific service, and I'd like to thank you all for your insightful knowledge in-case I need to diagnose certain things about this again in future.
  7. Thank you for providing these IDs. These IDs do show up, but I can not see any of these IDs relating to my account specifically after I changed my password yesterday. I can see there's an eventID for 656 and 657 for my staff test account, and even someone else who has had to change their password yesterday (again just a standard teacher). So again I am not sure where it is going wrong? And the fact it takes longer than usual to sync the password?
  8. Yes, it says the name of the new server as the email server [email protected]
  9. On Synchronization Service Manager, I can see there is a Delta Import log at 7:50 saying that there's 1 update. Clicking that update, I can see it was the test account and what OU it is in etc. This is a Delta Import on our domain name. Then, there's a Delta Synchronization seconds later with the same information on the domain name. Then, seconds after that, again states an update for an Export on our .onmicrosoft.com AAD At 8:20, it comes up again on our domain name with a Delta Import with the same update information, just the one account that I have changed a password to. Same cycle of information until 8:50. The logs after 8:50 (which is 9:20) does not have the update anymore. EDIT: I have just changed my password, and the sync at 13:20 doesn't show any changed data. 0 on everything except Discovery > Filtered Objects = 2.

  11. Just a quick update - I have tried the password change on a test staff account that we have, and after about 2 hours (ish) it did change the password on O365. But my password has not changed still? The log that we can see is a delta log when looking at the Synchronization Service Manager. It doesn't look like a full sync is in progress? This was carried out sometime earlier last week/ the week before too. We can't see any specific logs for password changes - where specifically would they be located in event viewer?
  12. I must've waited about an hour between the sync from memory.
  13. The server where the initial sync was has been turned off for some time now - so I wouldn't expect this to be running. The logs claim that everything should be working as normal. Right now, If I create new accounts, they get synced every half hour and they do. But passwords do not. But I tested a student account on Friday, and the new password didn't work. Came back to work this morning and tried the new password again on O365 and it worked.
  14. In-case users see this post, SIMSID have since been in touch saying that they are continuing to do internal testing for the fix for this, and they are hoping they can release this as an update before Sept 24.
  15. Hello, We've been doing some internal migration from on-premise to Azure, and we made a decision to migrate the active directory sync service from one server to another (so that we can shut the old server down). Since then, all accounts that we make in AD will happily sync over to Office365 every half hour, but the passwords are a bit irregular. My password for example, is one of my older passwords as I had changed it recently, and as you would expect, it should have updated to the new one on the next sync. Here's the weird thing, I created the new Year 7 accounts on Friday, and tested one of their accounts by changing the password. It did eventually change it on Office365 to the new password, but the sync was a lot longer to realise the password had changed. So I don't know how to proceed, because nothing is saying its wrong and certain stuff is still syncing over?
  16. Hi All, As the titles suggests, I am having issues creating a new SDS profile from SIMSID as I continue to get the same message saying that an error has occurred. I did read that they're potentially having issues with this - but I currently do not have an SDS profile set for September, which means none of the data will sync when the new school year kicks in. Is there anything I can do? This is going to cause massive disruption for the way we work on Teams etc so I don't want to be left in the dust by SIMs not syncing properly?
  17. Hi coolhands, I would just like to say thank you, I applied the update that was given to me by ParentPay and the pre-admissions have pulled through! Thanks again for your help with this.
  18. Hi tech-man, They are already in accepted state I believe, so they should already be pulling through but they aren't.
  19. Hello coolhands, Thank you for connecting me to this thread. I've just had a read through now and have requested the patch from ParentPay support. Only difference that I can possibly see, is that we don't accept our pre-admissions until late August, but we're usually able to pull the data through way before then anyway? Thanks, Sam
  20. Hi all, I have been asked by our finance team to auto update pre-admission students so that they are visible on ParentPay. When I have gone to do this, the MISSync says the below: WARNING: All pre-registration records were ignored due to missing ID numbers - other records have been uploaded normally (10011) what is this in relation to on SIMs? all of the students have UPN numbers already, but they don't have an admission number until near the end of August when we officially accept them. We have had them on the system way before the end of August though, so we don't know what we need to sort? Thanks, Sam
  21. Hi all, Our exam lead has spoke to me today saying that when she generates a seating plan report in Sims Exam Organiser, it will look correct. She said the only out of place thing is that each venue has the page that it needs for the venue, and then an additional page for the venue with nothing on it (so each venue ends up having two pages but one of them is empty). When she sends this to print, it removes all of the 'empty' pages, which is fine, except when you now look at the venues, students are in completely different rooms from where they are supposed to be. We tried to print to PDF too and it does the same thing. Is there a way to keep those pages that get removed, or get it to stop shifting the data around when it is sent to either print or pdf? Or has anyone else had this issue previously? She mentioned that we have 'two seasons' but I am not a exam or SIMs guru so I have no clue what it means! Thanks, Sam
  22. Hi Again, After turning off the Senso service on my PC, it did indeed start to work normally. This is frustrating! I would never have expected Senso to be the underlying issue here. Have they made any further developments since the posts above? Thanks, Sam
  23. Hi Sylv3r, We use Senso.Cloud as our monitoring software for client PCs, yes. I have not seen any posts relating to Senso and printing clashing - what's happened? Thanks, Sam
  24. Hi all, We're having major issues at the moment with our network printers around the school. When I try to print to the spool, Word will freeze for about 5-10 seconds, and then you can see in the bottom right of Word that each page is being spooled very slowly compared to the normal speed, and we can't diagnose it as we can't see what's making it slow. This is affecting people who need documents that are 20+ pages long printed as the spool is taking much longer than it should do. Is there anything we can do to get around this? Thanks, Sam
  25. Hi dapaulio, Thank you for your suggestions, I will give these a go on her machine.
