Thanks for the reply - I didn't think that it was possible but I just thought I would ask. I did say to my employer that we can add different codes to their records, such as the one you have provided, but for some reason that they don't really want to explain, they will either have it removed completely or keep it as the original. We rely on the staff codes quite a bit here, they're almost callsigns!

My workplace does not want to change the staff code for the leaver. I think they would be happy if it was removed altogether, but not changed into something different.

Hello, When a staff member leaves, they become a leaver on SIMS. But when a new staff member joins that has the same staff code, we can't give it to the new person as the leaver still has it. I know that you can change the staff code, but I believe they do not want to do this in my workplace. Is there a way you can just simply remove the staff code? Each time I try to remove the staff code from a leaving staff member, the box appears red and it will not let me save the record.
