We are hybrid at present - Microsoft for everything and Google Workspace for Flex/Chromebooks. Interesting though - is there a cost? Microsoft offers some Copilot functionality but costs do ramp up for something similar?

The examples given to me where things like signposting people to the correct information e.g. "i'm having a baby" might refer someone to the relevant maternity docs with the process explained; and the other was around constructing social media wording for job packs in the correct tone of voice etc. I'm sure they'll be other use cases, we do use Microsoft Flow for limited automations internally but seems to be a buzz word at present that AI Agents can save the company loads of time but not seeing many live examples.

What kind of use cases have you been using them for? Is it pricey?

I was recently approached by a colleague in school who was wondering if we had ever thought about providing tools to be able to create AI Agents to support repetitive activity. I've heard of the concept but haven't seen any examples of tools or how they're used in Education. Does anyone have any good examples or insight?

I have contacted them already and have got a template i'm working throuhg but sometimes looking at an example can raise additional questions around our data processing which may be relevent.

This is our issue, we use our instance for all data including Finance, HR and etc. So we need to ensure the DPIA is robust in case of any challenges. I've spoken to our internal teams who have sent over a template but was hoping glancing at someone else's might give me some ideas on where to start with ours. I am in contact with Freshdesk as surely they must have one as they work with departments in Government.

We're looking at buying Freshdesk for our helpdesk solution at our MAT and our procurement team has asked to complete a DPIA for this which we have never done before. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to share? Edit: we actually already have a Freshdesk instance we're just looking at scalling it up further so bringing on more departments etc. Due to the amount of agents we've had to go via Procurement rather than CC.

We're considering ClassLink - can I ask did you ever get it linked to Arbor? they're telling me they are unsure they can integrate?

I should have mentioned that we have a CloudFlare account and we use that primarily for DNS however they don't take BACS and only take payment via Credit Card unless you're an enterprise customer. I spoke with our Account/Customer Success Contact last week and unfortunately nothing they can do unless we significantly increase our spend.

We're a large MAT with a lot domain and digital assets. Does anyone know of a good registrar we can use for domains? Ideally one that accepts payment via BACS/Invoice? We're currently using Paragon but since being taken over by GoDaddy the support and experience has been terrible. We currently have 110 domains registered with them but I'm looking at moving them if we can find a fairly decent registar?

Hi All, What do you guys recommend to schools with devices that are end of life? Do you remove from schools or do you keep? If so, how do protect them. We have several schools who have iPads (e.g. Ipad 2's) but don't have the money to replace them so it's tough situatution if we were to mandate removing them.

Hi all, We look after several schools and we're looking at using AutoPilot to deploy machines straight from factory to customer. Does anyone else use AutoPilot? We use DirectAccess which isn't compatible with AutoPilot however we'll be shipping the devices to schools so as they're being set-up on prem they should pick up the DA group policy but wondered if anyone had encountered any problems. As will all things, we've not got much time to test but looking to try it out in Summer and see if we can get it working.

I've now heard back from Wonde who have advised that unfortunately this doesn't work with anything other than Chromebooks even with GCPW

Ah yes, just checked. Works for unlocking a Chromebook but not Windows 10 Wish it was something super easy to do.

We looked at Wonde but I was under the assumption this was for software/sites and not physical Windows sign on?

Hey guys, just wondered if anyone had a convenient way of getting primary school children to sign in? Anyone tried any sort of physical sign in mediums e.g. USB stick?

CA seems to be working okay but the major limitation for us is that the MFA bypass for trusted locations means that those who haven't configured MFA aren't prompted to do so on first sign in - unfortunately only way to fix this is by going to MFA in Azure AD and changing the entity from 'Disabled' to 'Enabled' this then prompts the user regardless of CA policies.

The issue is primarily that we're in a shared tenancy with another organisation and we don't want to turn on MFA for student accounts. The conditional policy we've configured is set to apply to a targeted AD group only. We utilise A1 Plus for Faculty for our staff licensing needs with only key teaching staff having A3 licenses.

Hi all, I work in a MAT that's looking at deploying MFA across all of our staff users. We've initially ran a script to enable this manually using a CSV however now we want to be able to automate the MFA process for newly onboarded staff without having to do this manually. Microsoft have proposed Conditional Access as this prevents staff from having to enter 2FA codes within the classroom however as a result of adding the external IP as a trusted location, this bypasses the setup of MFA for new staff. This making it a security risk as if the account was compromised and MFA hadn't been configured then the bad actor could just configure the app codes to bypass MFA. We have over 2500+ staff so we're looking at some sort of automation but so far the only help Microsoft have provided is to disable trusted locations or to ask staff to configure MFA upon first sign in manually by visiting the MFA setup link. Does anyone know of a way to automate the process so it changes the MFA status from Disabled to 'Enabled' so they are then forced to configure setting up MFA or any best practice on how to overcome this? We're keen to keep the trusted location as this then allows the staff to bypass MFA within the classrooms.
