Hi All, I have a physical DC1 server and a VMware server as DC2. I need to replace the DC1 Server and want to know whats best practice for this. I want it to have the same IP and same Server name as well. Thanks

Hi Guys, I have a brand new Apple Mini and 30 Macbooks, now I am a Windows guy and don't have a clue how to start with setting this up on the network. Any one have a guide? Need to be able to do things like mapped drives and set an image up so we can image machines from the Mac Server. Will vlans with a mac mini and imaging be an issue? Server 2012/Cisco Network. OK managed to get the update. I downloaded all the previous updates again and then the new one and it worked. Only problem now is Solus wont deploy to the machines. Tried telnet 52966 and 52965 and says connect failed. Any ideas on this?

I have just renewed the Exchange Cert and now when staff access the mail out of school through the web site its goes onto http and says access denied. If I add do Https it works? Any ideas?

I took a backup of it before hand. Its just strange, as I have never come across this before.

OK it looks like the proxy will pull over only if I put the settings in the default domain policy

Right, Looks like all setting apply, I have changed the home page a number of times and pulls over fine but the proxy setting is left blank even though I have setup it up within Internet explorer in GPO.

Hi For some reason, The proxy settings I set in certain GPO OU's do not pull over. I logged onto a machine and the proxy settings within IE are blank. I set the home page i set is to Yahoo.com but when I open IE the home page is the schools website and havent a clue where its coming from. Any help would be nice. Nice network I was left with not a single bit of documentation.

Hi Guys, i currently have a major issue with Smoothwall at the moment, it keeps coming up NTLM falied. As you can imagine, Its stopping teaching and learning in the schools. I spoke to smoothwall and they tried to force the proxy settings with GPO but it doesn't pull across in the GPO. At the same time, I am not sure why it has stopped working and the NTLM message keeps coming up as nothing has been changed on the network. Any advice would be great. Bit disappointing, as I have just paid ££££ to renew it. Thanks

Guys, I seem to have a problem with my MainDC1, Group policy do not pull across and I get the following shown in the screen shots. I can ping the DC from any PC and I can ping any other server from the MainDC1. Any help would be great. Thanks
