We have GPO in place and there is a VBS Script that runs with the map drives setting. I have set the Script under User Configuration - Policies- Windows Settings - Scripts (Logon Log Off) - Logon

Hi , Running 2008 R2 Domains, and currently XP Machines. When uses log on some times the Map drive appear and work fine, then other time they will either not get any mapped drives or only some of them will come up. Cheers

The default setting is in Colour, It holds the settings if you go around one by one each PC and set it but then you got loads of users cant really do that.

I have loads of HP 3600 Printers and want to lock them down to print onlu Black, I ajusted the setting on the printserver for the printer for everyone to just print only and selected Greyscale, but it still prints colour. Any ideas?? I cant find a setting on the printer either to just print Black, only the 3800 that I know of has this.

LOL!!. Ok with delprof, could you go through it how to set it up to suto delete, without going round each pc please. I ran it on one PC and it comes up with delete all INACTIVE profiles?? I want it to delete every single one

Is there no way of just making a BAT file to delete?? with some commands, I just dont know what ones.

HI Can any one tell me what commands to use to run a bat file to delete C:\Documents and Settings in XP, if poss not delete all users and administrator and so on. Iv tried a few i found on the net bout they dont work. I have just built a 2008 TS box on a 2003 Domain, all works fine except it keeps blocking cookies even tho on the server it not. If I add domain admin to a user ajust the cookies ( Which says blocked) then put the back to a normal domain user it works fine. Any ideas or a proper fix for this??

Got Windows 2003 Enterprise running on out TS Boxs, but have a problem hen im on the comsole and log in to one on a domain level, it comes up with this; The application or DLL C:\Windows\System32\MFC42 dll is not a valid Windows image, Please your against your installion Disk. Also comes up when trying to run VBS Any help on this would be great. Scanned server for viruses and is all clean.

Sounds like its ot able to read some files within Results manager. Have you checked Sysbase is running as well?

I already have S/Maker installed on my PC's at my school and I always use New Setup and RM have always said to use New Set Up.

Just tried this and it still doesnt work< i think the GPO is blocking it seeing the Home drives, all My Documents are redirected to the home drives. Any other ideas??

Wonder if any one can help, When Students log on and use Front page 2003, File- Open , it says can not open and its the same when they save it says can not save, It must be looking for the C:\Programme files\My Web Sites Folder, Is there any way of changing this path so it directs it to there home drives??

try a constant Ping -t to see if a connection is breaking down????

HAve you tried using new Switchs?? Also what % is the CPU on the server when you connect the laptop and when the laptop stop responding. I had a simliar problem once and it was the switchs.

I have tried 3 other XP disks and I have tried using a External DVD RW as well as the External one.

Hope someone can help me, I am tryin to install Windows XP Pro on to a Compaq Presario V2000 It goes through the part of setting the disk up and formating fine, then when it starts to copy the files over it says it cannot copy a file then press ESC to skip, it does it all throught the setup. The copy of XP defo works as i have tryed it on another laptop. I have tryed another CD Rom no luck. Any ideas??
