  1. Bromcom will be running events with Swansea to help them understand the scope, breath and depth of the Bromcom product. Below is the LinkedIn post show us doing just that for the schools in Rhondda just this week. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7297991231257628672/
  2. Hi @Jaan, This is currently in development. I have see some screenshots of how you will be able to set seating plans up against rooms for all users of that room to be able to make use of. It is due for release mid-late August for staff to be able to make use of in the new term. As an ex-IT Teacher this will be an amazing development with all staff using a standardised plans will help no end.
  3. Hi Kennysarmy, I've used e-timetable in various different school. As mentioned by Bromcom Support if it is installed locally using a local drive for data it works really well. I think you will need to make an exception on the lockdown desktop configuration that you use to allow the software to install. I have always used it on an un-restricted PC so not seen the issues that you are reporting.
  4. If you are using the Bromcom Vison product to aggregate the data across your trust you only need to buy one Power BI Pro Licence if you want to use the provided BI Apps that Bromcom has developed. This can then be used with the built-in BI Viewer and shared with your configured Vision Users. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/mis-systems/217217-vision-x-fab-offering-if-your-looking-reporting-powerbi-across-mat.html
  5. Yes, you can take CTFs from Key To Success and import from there. The CTF import function is on the student screen under actions. Any problems contact the helpdesk and they will be able to guide you through.
  6. @kennysarmy -“As I understand it there is Virtual School and there is Virtual School - Shared Campus. I've read the blurb on both and Virtual School would definitely not work for us, whereas the Shared Campus option looks like it might...“ Yes, you are right. Bromcom has two distinct products: Virtual School – Shared 6th Form Virtual School – Shared Campus It’s the Shared Campus product that you would want, I think it would work really well for you. Teachers would be able to use one system for registers and managing the students, but they would be held as separate entities for running census, classes etc. Once they move off to their own school, they would already have the main structure of their database ready that they could take with them. This solution does allow combined functionality for catering etc. But as they are separate databases, reporting can be separated as you mentioned or if required across both schools. NB: In the past we did help out odd schools to split census by data engineering but we felt that this was not a clean process and we wanted a more structured approch. Hence we have developed Shared Campus to meet these requirements. We no longer support splitting census by data engineering which in some cases raised other issues. Eg where school may have had a gender split under one school operation which is no longer allowed by law and had to have two separate schools, two different DfE numbers and two different MIS.
  7. Hi @supportman, if you raise your feedback on our support website in the development section, our product owners can take it into the enhancement review process.
  8. @Cyberkld2002 As far as I am aware currently it is individual teachers are able to reuse their plans. We are developing to allow staff to share plans, so admins could create plans for the rest of the staff to use. Hope that helps? Dan.
  9. Hi @supportman, Thanks again for your valuable feedback. As previously, I thought it would be useful to look at each point you raise in turn. 1. You can configure what message comes up regarding the consent section. If it is left blank, that is why it will show “No image on the web site” If you need a hand to set this up, please contact the helpdesk. 2. If you have created an English class within your timetable where both Lit and Lang are taught you will only be able to see English as one subject. One way to solve this is to create a separate English Lit marksheet (can be copied from the existing sheet) and assign this to an unused subject within the MIS, then you can easily pull off grades for both subjects, the helpdesk should be able to support you in getting this working. 3. Thank you for the feedback on the payment function. I will feed this back to the development team. 4. The new version of the parent app that was released last week allows read announcements to be marked as read. It might be worth checking that the parent has the latest version. 5. I’m pleased that the issues you are experiencing with time for attendance pages to load has been reported and that the team are looking into it. I’m sure they will be back in contact soon. Feel free to contact me directly at Bromcom if you need and further clarity on my answers. Dan.
  10. Hi Supportman, We are sorry to hear that you have been having some issues with Bromcom. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for you ongoing support and try and answer some of the areas that you mentioned. With regards to the survey, teachers should have been able to see an ‘x’ in the top right hand corner that would have closed down the survey, we are sorry if this is not the case. We can investigate why this was not an option of the user within your school. At the moment you do have to change the timeout for each individual user, we will consider adding this as a site wide update for future releases. If you would like us to set all users within your school to have their timeout as 120, please log it on the support portal and we will be able to action this for you. With regards to your issue on Edge Chromium can you let us know on the support desk know some more detail we will be able to investigate it. Thank you for your feedback regarding the room booking system. We would welcome the opportunity for our Product Owner to discuss your enhancements with you – we can then include them for consideration in future developments. We are working very hard to ensure our new documentation site is full of information that is useful to our customers. You’ll see the banner at the top letting you know it’s a new site and we want customer feedback to update it. Please use the comments boxes at the bottom of the pages to report any areas in which we are lacking information and can ensure that the site is populated with relevant content. You can also use the comment boxes to let us know if there are any areas that you think additional help videos would be useful. The team here is constantly updating and releasing new content and any areas of specific focus would be welcomed. We are sorry but UPRNs are not part of the current scope of the SIMS to Bromcom migration. Following on from your feedback we will be looking to see the possibility of including this in the future. This is the first time a customer has raised this with us and appreciate you letting us know. If the requirement is to ensure validated addresses, then this feature is included within the MIS. Please feel free to email me to discuss any of the areas I have mentioned above. For me it is really important that Bromcom takes on board feedback from customers as this is pivotal for making our products better. Dan Sears - Education Consultant and MAT Relationship Manager
  11. Yes, it goes live tonight, so you can copy your seating plans to your hearts content over the weekend

I'm sure that we will be able to iron out the problems you are experiencing, with such a large user base using the system in anger I'm sure we will be able to find resolutions to your problems. 13. Really sorry, I was excited yesterday too. Thought I had saved you loads of time, I know what its like with seating plans. Back to squared paper for the next two weeks..
  14. Hi @ridleyrumpus, all our updates for our cloud based customers are automatically rolled out. I believe a message had gone out to customers yesterday that this release update has been rescheduled for 18th, the development team wanted to carryout additional testing of the new statutory changed from the DfE before customer release.
  15. In the update release tomorrow you will be able create and share room layouts between teachers and classes. Hope that helps.
