Drivers would be first port of call. Second, try using WEP authentication as a test assuming you're on WPA2 at the moment. We've just got a load of L14's and they seem to absolutely hate WPA2 but fine on Radius.

Thank you @HPlum78 - that helps explain what went wrong for us when our group emails went belly up - AD all appeared correct, AAD was perfectly correct but Groups/Exchange Groups were doing all sorts of silly things! Ended up deleting and recreating them all to resolve but even a quick skim through that gives me a notion of what happened!

Ah, would you look at that. There's me thinking that being the all singing, all dancing admin, I'd already have that! Never mind, just add to my own permissions and indeed it's there! Fankoo!

Those have been added in by something 3rd party (or indeed a Capita addon looking at CES) so not something that is stock on SIMS.

Can you screenshot those areas for us please? This is useful to know and I can't find either instance of a 3rd party reporting group in reports nor person_id anywhere else in reporting

If it ever comes out, I will eat the tie I used to wear when working for Capita.

I may be going crazy, it may be 365, I don't know. We have groups in AD for our year of entries - Entry 2020 is year 7 up to Entry 2014 for Year 13. Each has an email address, [email protected], [email protected] etc etc. This all syncs, usually, hunky-dory with Office 365 via AzureAD Connect when we bump them up a year. But not this year. It's gone a little big special. No, seriously... Search our groups in 365 for "year 7" and it shows up just exactly as it should: But wait, there's more! The very moment you click it to inspect contents.... BANG! It changes to this gobbledegook! And to top it off, year 8 is actually year 9, year 9 is actually year 10 etc as if they haven't or won't update. Sync status says everything is perfectly fine! No duplicates or cockups in AD! I have never seen anything like it. If I search for that random looking group name, it doesn't show, either in 365 or local AD. Any clues?

It's literally [person_id] in the sims DB but as was mentioned, inaccessible from the UI unless it's buried deep somewhere.

Edulink One is by far the best addon for SIMS, but to be perfectly honest I would strongly suggest staying well clear of SIMS in the first place.

Only very recently joined a union (Voice) - most others seem too profiteering and childish in action, and felt I could win my way round any possible issues. Good lord, these get so confusing. I assume this is the Sharp we know and not the Sharp that sells utter crud in the UK by letting crap manufacturers like Vestel etc manufacture kit and stick their logo on? Not that it matters too much - I guess I just miss the good old days when you bought a name and it was actually made by that company!

Ditto, roaming profiles were being killed off ages ago and certainly no longer supported. Use the remediation time to change.

Does anyone have a working 3CX setup with an XG? Struggling to get my head around it, particularly with 3CX requiring "full cone NAT" and seeing nothing of the sort in XG itself. Already have the XG SIP/ALG bits disabled.

You'll struggle as they're worth a small fortune - keep an eye out for local auctions & house clearances for the best chance of a reasonable priced one otherwise you'll be £50+ plus for a typical untested/faulty models on Ebay for pretty much anything Spectrum upwards. C64s tend to go for around the £80 for the proper models or £60 for the C64C versions. BBC's you can add a 1 to the front of that price - there's a large market for vintage computers. If you don't have the funds then a natural suggestion would be to Raspberry Pi it with any emulator you see fit but of course then you don't get the real deal with the relevant peripherals, and at that point you may as well just install an emulator on any PC.

Can't stress enough how true this is. You can imagine our dismay when, after having recabled our entire school, everything paid for and signed off to be told "Ah, we're going to need another 10 computers in that room and possible change of use for another room too..." - plus with social distancing etc there will be IT everywhere. Perhaps less of an issue in modern buildings where cable-flooding is cheap and easy and the idea of 20 outlets in every room "just in case" seems simple though!
