you will only be able to play previous gen versions from an external drive. if it has a series x version it needs to be on internal storage or the expansion. i suspect as pcix4 ssds become cheaper so will the expansion and then more people will make them as well

there is a gpo that makes a pc wait longer for network at startup. i wonder if its just taking longer to negotiate speed/duplex etc than the pc by default waits though i cant remember off hand where it is- 5 replies

i had a look into this a while back and got nowhere from what i remember google drive on the pc doesn't keep a normal folder structure you can redirect into (so c:\users\someuser\appdata\local\google\drive\docs (or similar)) like onedrive does and i dont think you can even do it manually

you can play youtube music on a home hub (mine are al screen ones im not sure about the screenless ones) without a sub as i do but its way worse than google music. there are huge pauses between tracks (unless you do it as a cast session from a device). I converted my music from google music to youtube and it works but i wish i could go back to google music. i just ell at it ok google play playlist game music and it does work. you might need to use the home app and set youtube music as the default player though

i wonder if the point of this is for when a chromebook falls out of support you can just click a link in settings and go into basically extended support no new features but security updates

reading the article its full or so many qualifiers so if could etc. id go with the general rules like when the headline "is is this going to be the worst winter ever" the answer is no its just filler that looks like an article. yes its not 100% impossible but its also not likely

not really my phone is good enough and if i need anything better i always have my canon 70d (currently doing duty as a webcam as a psu was cheaper than a crummy webcam lol)

82 was missed due to covid iirc. current version is 87 id be tempted to update them maybe off school network (in a chromebooks settings it will tell you when a device is scheduled to lose access to updates https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/9367166?hl=en-GB )

got bored over the weekend and started persona 5 royal earlier than i planned (was planning to play it over Christmas) it does seem different enough to the base game (that said i paid "25 for it so thats about the cost of a decent dlc) but ive just "completed" the 1st dungeon and only just got the training wheels off (so you couldnt go buy food/books etc). It looks better than i remember it doing and there are some new ways to go in the dungeon and new enemies and sort of unlimited ammo so i actually use the guns now rather than saving them for a last resort). Its surprising how many random monsters i can remember type weaknesses for

well ive seen the windows tablet its a naff toshiba with very little storage and a really bad touchpad, the unmanaged windows laptop is a terrible cheap nasty thing with a very bad trackpad and no storage (spot the recurring theme cheap and nasty) the managed windows laptop was actually a reasonable dell laptop. id honestly go for the chromebooks or ipads depending on your system if you have to go for windows go for managed and get the bios passwords etc as they are just setup with .\localuser

i mean as someone who has a 4k monitor (it was bought before i had a game pc as effectively a 2nd tv that i plugged stuff into) im not sure 4k is needed when your sat 50cm away from the screen (and a 32@ screen at that distance is massive) yes its nice to run games at 4k but im not sure id notice much difference dropping to 1440 and id have a better refresh rate (current screen does have freesync but maxes out at 60hz and its not on nvidias supported list). again if id known i was going ot build a game rig i wouldnt of got this particular monitor
