Premiere Pro and OneDrive Home Folder - Loading importerquicktime.prm

Has anyone else had a problem with Premiere Pro (2021 but I think it affects 2020 too), getting stuck while loading on: loading importerquicktime.prm

Lots of suggestions online but they seem to involve either running as admin, or deleting files from appdata which aren't there.

I think this started after I migrated home drives to OneDrive. I notice that Adobe is creating an appdata structure inside the Onedrive (rather than on the C:Drive) so I thought this may be part of it.

Staff accounts seem to be able to run Premiere Pro ok, but they don't have OneDrive set up.

Does it run okay if the OneDrive App is closed? I have a similar error when using Premiere Pro however can still use the software, it's the OneDrive App can't upload a file because it's being used by Premiere Pro.

Thanks for the hint. Closing OneDrive made no different, but closing our Cloud Drive Mapper software did the job. Something to do with the folder redirection it is doing in the background. I'll have to look at getting rid of that and doing it the proper Microsoft way if I can get it to work. Thanks.

I've just started to get this issue after deploying this.

We don't have Onedrive but do have folder redirection, although appdata isn't redirected.

everything else works except Premier Pro.

Did you manage to resolve this?

I'm stumped at the moment.

We applied the following to each 2021 installer via GPO - Seems to bypass the freeze issue for us on AE so maybe apply it for PP as well?

This didn't fix our issue,

but after more testing, it seems to be related to folder redirection.

If i disable folder redirection on a standard user account it loads fine.

As soon as the users documents are redirected it fails.

APP data isn't redirected..............

Nope im wrong, i have an account without folder redirect and it still doesn't work........ i'm at a total loss here and adobe dont seem to be able to help.

Starting to stress me out now and i can't find anything in any logs to even hint where the issue is :(

Sorry, old thread, but still having this problem, and really don't want to stop using Cloud Drive Mapper as it works well for us, expect for this problem.

@Jaan Did you ever find a fix?

No we didn't.

in a nutshell after adobe had remoted into our site they concluded that the issue is theirs and that they need to do better to bring their software catalogue inline with customer requirements....aka domain based installations with folder redirection policies and not just local installs.

The reason some of their products work and others don't, is because on the back end, the software is very different from one and other from when they were designed or acquired.

We'll be moving away from adobe at the end of the year. the whole things has been a royal pain in the back side and very different from years gone by where it just worked.

The syncing of users to their adobe console is another area that needs approving, especially automatically assigning product licenses to Synced users.

Once upon a time, we deployed the apps via .MSI to our domain PCs. we had a site licence and it just worked. no accounts required. I know there's a per device model also, but that still doesn't fix the folder redirection issues.

Real shame.
