As keen as i am to get my hands on LTSB2016 i checked my VLSC last night to see if it had been released. Sadly, theres nothing there however the LTSB2016 MAK is sat there waiting to be used.

Would MS release over the weekend or would they wait until monday morning?

I wonder if Remond has heard of UTC? We're only one hour ahead then. :)

Many people in the USA are not aware there are other countries in the world. :p

First problem, file explorer missing from the start menu. Have to get to it via windows system.

I thought i read somewhere that edge would be included in the release too. I cant seem to find it.

No feedback icon or contact support either :)

Have to get to it via windows system.

It's quicker to search for it (Windows key, type 'File', press Enter) or find it on the Win+X menu (Windows key + X E).

Have updated my 2015LTSB base image to 2016, apart from explorer constantly freezing until I managed to get the updates on it (used WSUSOffline in the end) and have run the latest version of UWT to turn off a few "features" all looks good.

I've installed it on one PC, maybe its just my imagination but it seems alot quicker that EDU.

LTSB with classic shell is rather nice (touch wood).... wait a minute... its just W7

First one went perfectly, second one hung after clicking the 'use express settings' button for ages. Really weird, black screen with mouse (like its on extended monitor view)...then it rebooted and looped with the express settings screen over and over again.

I removed the graphics card and left it on the black screen and went home....managed to remote in ok but not sure how long its taken to complete. Funny thing is when I remoted in the computer was at the select active directory or azure selection screen, didn't know you could do that. (it was deployed using WDS)

PS. I deployed 150 W10 using EDU.... tempted to wipe them out and stick this on if I can work out the answer files in WDS.

I think that would be the black screen problem that i and a few others have been having.

I've just found out that in order to activate the Windows 10 LTSB 2016 the Server 2016 KMS key needs to be installed on the activation server, It wasn't displayed in my VLSC at first but a quick call to M'$oft sorted that.

Damn, I asked for the Windows 10 LTSB key which they sent out thinking that would be enough. I take it that I just need to ask fro the Server 2016 KMS key

They've sent me the KMS key, but dispite having various updates installed (KB305168/KB3172614) it still throws up errors saying it can't install the key..

grrr!

Do you know what the key was called?

I have

Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB KMS - won't install

&

Windows Srv 2012R2 DataCtr/Std KMS for Windows 10 - Which is what we had to install to activate RTM builds of WIndows 10, but that won't activate the 2016 releases. grrr!
