Does any know or have the msi install for gimp 2.8.2

I never found or created a good one, however I did use Cameyo

App Library

 

And this works just fine on a wired network, I have not tried a classfull of laptops tho'

I was looking a few weeks ago and could not fine one but you can silently install through a script

 

These are the commands (Open Source) - GIMP - 2 | ITNinja

 

Then you have to put this into a script that you can put into a startup script that will not try to install if its already installed.

I just made a couple of MSIs if you want to give them a try?

 

32-bit: GIMP-v2.8.2_x86.msi (59.1 MB)

64-bit: GIMP-v2.8.2_x64.msi (67.1 MB)

 

The MSIs install GIMP to the relevant Program Files folder, create a single shortcut on the Start Menu and four file associations (XCF, GBR, GIH & PAT).

Best thing I'd say is download the free version of 'Advanced Installer'. Made loads of .msi's with this. Never fails. Really easy to use.

Hi.

 

I installed Arthurs msi in my schools network. Teachers kept complaining about it beeing an english installation so i created a german version.

 

Maybe someone can need a german version.

PDQ Deploy (even the free version) can push exe files, just use the silent switch
