Over the last few months we have been getting windows 7 clients hanging on policies for a long time before they reach ctrl+alt+del.

It is different policies such as [h=1]applying computer settings[/h][h=1]applying group policies[/h]Applying user settings

Anyone had this issue before? or what policy is causing this issue

You should enable Verbose status messages which is a group policy setting you can enable. I cannot remember where it is set right now sorry. This should let you know which policy`s are being applied and which ones are taking a while to apply.

I have found before I disabled and removed offline files from out Windows 7 clients they would very often hang on policy such as folder redirection and and applying printer policy's. Are they wireless clients?

They are all wired desktop HP 3120 sff clients.

I will take a look at your suggestion though

I'd Try:

Disabling any non-microsoft services

Enabling verbose loggings as mentioned abov

See if anyone has done any polices changes recently

check the event logs on the machines.

Any recent MS updates

I had this occasionally before atfter deploying a printer but it settled down after upgrading the driver.
