Well after months of waiting our LEA (Oxfordshire) has said we are going to be switching MIS from Capita SIMS to RM Integris.

What I would like to know is what the genuine opinion (I'm an RM basher as much as any other person but in this case I need solid truth to present to others) is of other users of Integris (both from a technical and user stand point).

The ultimate question will be do we bring SIMS on sight, let the LEA do whatever they want or look for an alternative.

We use Integris.

I've had no complaints, but that could be due to people only using it for the bare minimum.

We've also not had any "OMG xyzMIS is better!!" mainly because it was usually only in the office and the teaching staff have only used Integris.

I can't really comment on it, I've never needed to use it.

Who is this xyzMIS... do I need to do my research?

:p

Indeed you do.

xyzMIS is the best MIS available. According to staff, they ALL used xyzMIS in their old schools. It has features that no other MIS has or will ever have. It's even capable of breaking the space-time continum by importing pupil data from the eather at the exact moment said pupil becomes enrolled.

It has zero downtime and never crashes.

Well, all schools have the option to choose any MIS they want, you would certainly not have to follow the LA's guidance

Oh we always do what we want but in this case its more a matter of massive discounts through the LEA (some people think money is tight for them well for us its 10x worse).
