I've lost a stone since start of September (through Slim Fast and beginning to run again, I was playing football but thats stopped due to lack of players...)...i fear December may be a difficult month mind.

*awakens thread from it's slumber*

So, update. I've put on all the weight i lost and some more, and have now joined a scheme called Man v Fat Football, basically, 6 a side football league with numerous teams., and your team gets extra points if the team overall has lost weight (everyone, mostly, is noticeably overweight). with sessions, Q&A's and advice being made available on the night of the football.

I've also have had physio on my shins, and they have improved, and i know what i need to do in order to keep the shin splints away, which should help me get back into doing things.

Quite a few of the team names are quite something, I've joined FC Fatzio.

I am fighting a battle too. My thyroid has decided to go under active I was warned it might happened after having Graves Disease (over active thyroid) twenty years ago.

And I am also struggling with various problems stemming from serious back problems making exercise painful.

I am now swimming 3 mornings a week which is more about mobilising my frozen shoulder and strengthening my knee than exercise.

I have been able to return to the LA yoga for old crocks class this month which is helping too.

And I have the Active10 app to guilt trip me into a daily brisk walk. It will be a while before I am back in the gym

Sorry to hear that, @elsiegee40 - hope things improve

@Tesla - you need to stop dieting - as you saw, it doesnt work. Changing your lifestyle, eating a bit less, eating clean, healthy food with treats now and again, moving more - that's what will produce a sustainable weight loss and weight stability in your future

Wow, I sound good dont i - and most of the time I can stick to it...but today i might have eaten a whole big bag of Minstrels.....:(

You had me at need to stop dieting :p

All joking aside, when i went to the football, seeing how unfit I am compared to some of the larger lads there has given me the kick up my arse i think I needed.

My new migraine tablets lists weight loss as a side effect....so every cloud.
