Sorry me again.

Tried looking at the KB but when I go to the English site I get a bad request error.

Just been asked why some old .flp files wont open.

we have one called park plot.flp which opens fine. However we have a group of science ones that wont unable to open file error

they are science_unit6b.flp science_unit6c.flp etc these are in the same location as the park one that opens.

I have copied them and tried changing the extension to a .flipchart and also renaming them to scienceunit6b with no luck.

There are 7 files so I don't think they are corrupt.

Any ideas?

Hi MattDLEA,

I have just tried the UK KB and it appears to work correctly for me, I do know that you sometimes have to run your browser in compatibility mode (if you are using IE).

If you could attach one of the .flp's onto here I will be able to have a look at it for you.

Thank you

Hi MattDLEA,

I have had a look at this .flp and it does appear to be corrupt as it also does not open on my machine.

It also doesnt open in ActivPrimary or Studio (which would of been the programme this was created in at the time).

Corrupt flipcharts can sometimes occur for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: packet loss during saving, corrupt hard disks, full temp directories, corrupt user profiles, users quitting ActivInspire before the save of a flipchart has fully happened.

Apologise I could not assist further.
