I found something out recently, and I don't know if it's common knowledge and I just missed the boat on finding this out but are you aware that Database Mirroring & I believe Clustering will be removed from a future version of Microsoft SQL Server? and so that they are now advising you use the AlwaysOn Availability Groups instead... which i believe is similar to DAGs in Exchange... (but havn't read that much into it yet! on the to do list)

It is mentioned here about the database mirroring feature, Database Mirroring (SQL Server)

I can't find anything going on about clustering, but i believe this might be the same and it will be recommended that you use AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instances which is pretty much the same I imagine with a different name.. but again still reading about it all.

Just thought i'd mention it, as I can't see anything about AlwaysOn stuff yet on here.. so feel free to discuss further! :)

More Information:

AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instances (SQL Server)

AlwaysOn Availability Groups (SQL Server)

Cheers,

James.
