RabbieBurns Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 sister has a Honda with inbuilt GPS system but the maps are about 6 years out of date. Is there an update CD or something that can be bought?
glen_j Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 normally you buy them from a honda dealer. its usually a cd /dvd 1
Willott Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 They make you BUY them?? In the same way that TomTom make you buy map updates I would think...
Miscbrah Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 In the same way that TomTom make you buy map updates I would think... They do TOO?? Oh man I learned something today.
broc Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 All of the car manufacturers seem to charge a serious amount of money & their maps are generally out of date vs TomTom & other PNDs. see Watchdog: Shock cost of built-in sat-nav updates | Auto Express

Is there an update CD or something that can be bought? The last time I looked a couple of years ago they charged around £250 to update it. It was cheaper to upgrade my car at the time
john Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Must admit my VW SatNav (which is very handy due to built in Traffic Monitoring and advice) is terribly out of date in parts, that is a Navman disk and it was something like £250 for a new one from VW, a tip on owners forums is go to eBay you will find loads of ones that are probably newer than that one you can use instead that others have had and scrapped as they bought the latest one (company car drivers seem common sellers as there office must send them a new one and not want the old one back so they sell them)
RabbieBurns Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 will it be the same for all hondas then? this? HONDA 2012 UK / Western Europe DVD V3.60 ( V2.11 SAT NAV DISC ALSO AVAILABLE) | eBay
