I miss the days of piloting a battleship!

I cut my online teeth on this game.

 

This game was epic back in the day. The idea you could just get in a plane or jeep was amazing and changed online warfare forever. And it did not even have a campaign.

 

I would say that even this version is better than any online COD/modern warfare/ black ops / or whatever bull crap, rehashed same game in a new suit they are releasing next.

Back in 2002, when this first came out, I was living with a mate and we hooked up our machines with some big speakers....got ourselves a clan, and kicked some right royal a**e!

 

This STILL rocks my world when I play it (Yes, I DO still play it!!)

Just had a blast. So many 64 man servers.... not just 64 man either, I mean populated servers! Lots and lots of populated servers!

Sweet mercy, thank you VERY much for sharing this news. So many kamikaze memories to annoy my mates in our LAN servers..

 

One question though, do I have to use the god-forsaken Origin thing?

Battlefield Vietnam was my favourite FPS for years, this was a good starting point along with Medal of Honour: Allied Assault. I'll have to download this tonight.
