Singist Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 How in Gods name do you get the hard drives out of these?????
kili Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 We don't have fizz books but looking at a picture of them it might be that the screws are under the rubber feet , you may have to remove them to gain access to remove the cover. I came across a useful pdf on fizzbooks but nothing about replacing a hard drive. http://downloads.zoostorm.com/marketing/promotional/2012/FizzbookGuide3310-9602-3310-9603.pdf Kili
SeagoMac Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Although this is an old post it might help someone. I had a similar problem contacted the makers and it is quite easy. I have a detailed explanation on our school's website here.
Techykev Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Oh so that is a fizzbook!! We have those rebadged as RM Minibook 210/220 but ours all have 250Gb HDDs. Didn't realise that they were the same! Also note the "secret" SD Card reader slot when you remove the battery (what a stupid place to put it):-(
SeagoMac Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think they come in various disguises all based on the Intel learning series, the latest incarnation is the Classmate2. By the way the slot under the battery is for a 3G sim card I think and not a SD card reader, that is on the front left hand side on our Fizzbooks
Techykev Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Seagomac I stand corrected;-) just tried out of curiosity and SD card doesn't fit. Ours have no SD card slot in them at all. Oh well, we've never actually tried using the card readers anyhoo!!
