We have a issue with pupils pulling keys off keyboards on laptops and taking the batterys. We have tried silicone skins on the keyboards but they also just rip these off. Does anyone else have any suggestions on what we can do?

Thanks

they will soon get the message when they only have pen and paper left

also i have told all our staff that any damage on machine they have allocated will be charged to them

slt approved this and it seems to be working

hi...i agree with round2it....don't fix it...let them suffer using pen and paper because if you always fix all the damage that the pupil did they will do it again and again..

I've glued the wifi buttons into the on position, glued the batteries in place and made the departments pay for new screens and keyboards. Basically this is down to how much a given department gives a crap.

Lenovo do laptops for education with keyboards that are impressivly robust (and you can stand on them) but they cost more.

If we get more than a couple of damages in a term we start issuing purchase orders for the repairs with the department budget on them, this is approved by our head and they just get charged, they don't even get a choice!
