Nickysn3 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Hi there, I am an aspiring SBM and have been given the project of researching and implementing an email communication system from school to parents. Does anyone have any experience of this? How do you do it in your school? We are worried that it will make extra work as those without email access will need a paper copy of letters and we will have to personalise them. Any thoughts/advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Nicky
elsiegee40 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Many of the proprietary school emailers will tell you who needs a paper copy. We use parentmail. It takes the entire school role. When you send out an email to a group of people it produces a report telling you who has to be given a paper copy. It also handles the split families situation where both Mum and Dad need copies... and copes with 'one per family' too. There's nothing more annoying than getting 3 emails about the same thing! https://www.parentmail.co.uk/ Edited September 26, 2012 by elsiegee40
sparkeh Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 We have used Schoolcomms for a while now which has gone down very well with the admin staff and parents and does the same kind of things as mentioned above. http://schoolcomms.com/ 1
HMCTech Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 We use ClarionCall for emailing and texting parents
Ephelyon Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 We use PARS for a lot of things and this is one of the things it can do so we just use that, for both e-mailing and texting.
