zag Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 What are the big classroom management software apps that people use and how much do they cost? I'm just looking for a system that can monitor workstations, take screenshots, lock computers ect from a central console. We have been quoted £500 and an additional yearly cost per machine for our current software from a local company but it seems a little high.

timbo343 Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 We run sychroneyes by Smart, bought it a while ago, £3500 for a site license, unlimited teacher installs. WE were using netop till it decided not to work, and so we went for Sychroneyes, teachers love it.

starscream Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 We can't afford the software. I have tried iTalc (free) but to be honest it isn't very reliable. The server software crashes as do the clients and I couldn't get the server software to run from a client running on the server which I thought was the whole point in this sort of software. I am considering Ranger Control as we have Ranger Primary but I think they rip you off for this stuff.

We didn't buy maintenance though, they wouldn't stretch the extra £500 for it
