Monitor has gone upside down

Hi,

 

Quick question and something I've resolved by randomly pressing loads of keys at once before, but need to do again.

 

The monitor, has soon as it gets into windows, is displaying everything upside down. Obviously someone has pressed something on the keyboard as I managed to sort it before by pressing a load of keys.

 

What are they?

I think it depends on the manufacturer of the gfx card, but try Ctrl+Shift+Down Arrow

What chipset? Intel uses CTRL-ALT-Up and CTRL-ALT-Down

You can disable this in the Intel Extreme Control Panel

you can disable this function by removing the reg key also i beleve if you riht click on desktop if key has not been removed you can do it that way . I learnt the hard way 10 screens all upside down (not no more)

Disable right click and disable it in the options. Job done.

This can also be done by holding down just the ALT and down arrow key, especially on the Dell systems which also use intel cards.

 

Just for reference you can also put the screen on its right and left sides as well doing this using the arrow keys.

 

There was an exe in the 'downloads' section of edugeeks which disables this on all intel cards.

The horrid little program that allows this is usually called IGFXTRAY.EXE. Remove it from the registry as above and delete from the computer.

well, you certainly had me scratching my head there!

ha ha, well I found ICT my worst lesson they simply wasn’t enjoyable in GCSE stage. I didn’t learn anything new much, in fact the best bits of ICT when Beeswax would teach me some stuff on Dreamweaver. I loved that because i always learnt something new.

 

I Just used to play tricks like that not very often though, another one was pressing sticky keys to annoy teachers. (F18 Computers Beeswax). I didn’t used to hack and stuff like that because that is when you get in real trouble.

 

But since i have been working in the CLC i have found out how very annoying these little tricks are when i have to go round each evening putting things back to there previous settings. Last week some kids from Middleton changed the resolution on the iMacs to very low so everything on the screen was massive. They did it though the ATI control panel.
