SCCM and WSUS on different servers - 'Active software update point'?

I'm in the middle of setting up SCCM, and then Forefront Endpoint Protection, and one of the tasks is setting up the Software Update Point role.

 

As my WSUS server is on a different box, do I or do I not tick the 'Use this server as the active update point' box?

In my SCCM2007 the SUP is the separate WSUS server. I think the same is in 2012, but i've co-located in the new version.

Ok, that doesn't really clear anything up. Does that mean you have to install SCCM on the WSUS machine too?

If you're putting WSUS on a remote server you'll want WSUS to be the active SUP. Add another Site System and add the SUP Role to it. So, no active SUP on main server.

I've switched to this configuration. Its a lot less hassle.
