localzuk Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I'm in the middle of setting up SCCM, and then Forefront Endpoint Protection, and one of the tasks is setting up the Software Update Point role. As my WSUS server is on a different box, do I or do I not tick the 'Use this server as the active update point' box?
Theblacksheep Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 In my SCCM2007 the SUP is the separate WSUS server. I think the same is in 2012, but i've co-located in the new version.

Theblacksheep Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 If you're putting WSUS on a remote server you'll want WSUS to be the active SUP. Add another Site System and add the SUP Role to it. So, no active SUP on main server.
jimmy_2k Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I am planning to have SCCM on the same server as WSUS, will this be fine or should I reconsider?
