Hyperoptic 1gbps FTTH for £50 per month?

Just wondering if anyone has seen this deal - seems to good to be true fibre to the house 1gbps connection for 50 sheets a month?

 

This could buck the trend in charges from all the other ISP's surely?

I don't see anything saying this is going to be widely available, installing FTTH is *very* expensive. So it is more than likely tied to BTs FTTH products anyway, and those are only available in a limited number of places.

From the looks of it they're targetting high end apartment blocks, getting loads of people to sign up interest in one block, then create a PoP in that block and fibre back to it, then fibre back to main network (probably all done by OpenReach), I'd guess that you'd be unlikely to all get 1Gb all the time (daren't think what contention ratio they'll have in place).

Seems pretty useless to me so far If you can't even just sign up to it, it's no real difference to getting a dedicated line installed
