tosca925 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Does any one know of any offical Microsoft training venues in the West Midlands? We need to send a couple of guys on a few courses and the one we used to use is no longer running?
ChrisH Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Just use the Vue site to find a test centre they all have to be registered with them etc.
SpuffMonkey Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I favour Xpertise in Hinckley - no parking problems - depends whereabouts you are I guess.
Guest Rachel Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Hi. Not sure if I shoudl really use this - I'm an IT person in a University but have mainly moves to training so I guess I'm advertising now rather than giving advice but .... Its worthwhile looking at some local Uni web sites - or for a local Microsoft IT Academy - most of whom run the same MOC courses but for a lot less than some of the commercial training providers. We're an IT Academy, not in the West Midlands but up in Lancaster (2 hours on train plus you'd need overnight stay) and as an example we charge as little as £295 for a 5 day MCSE core course. But there are bound to be some others closer to you. Check out http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/skills-dev/it-academy/find/ You need to be aware that lots of these only teach office courses, but if you look for ones delivering hte "professional" programme you'll get the sys admin / developers courses. Hope you find something!
petectid Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Tut tut, Rachel Fligelstone advertising on a forum. Though I would recommend the courses Rachels department offers as they are very well delivered and excellent value for money. See their site here
Gatt Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 There is my ex employers - Parity Training who have centre around the UK - except Manchester since they closed that one down booting me out on my a**e in the process with a 1/2 days notice (actually a week but i was going on holiday for a week the day they told me!) There is one in Birmingham somewhere.. They are also an Authorised Prometric Testing Centre I personally wont use them for the above reason, but they are an ok training company for MCSE as well as other courses..
E1uSiV3 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Interquad do Microsoft Training, and are a Prometric and VUE test center
adent Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Is Melton Mowbray too far? King Edward VII School are an IT Academy and are running a full set of MCSE courses. I know the trainer personally and he is dynamite. We've got 4 guys on the courses at the moment. Contact the Professional Learning Centre at the school on 01664 851010
