Finally managed to shift these monolithic beasts out of the comms room (they've been stuck in there doing nothing for two years).

They're dual Xeon 3.0Ghz with 8GB RAM and 12 x 146GB SAS 10k HDD.

Any takers? They're working... we booted them up yesterday to wipe the disks.

Pick up in Croydon.

Ta,

Crikey... I never thought it would be this difficult to give away some massive bulky old servers... ;)

HT said no bacause A) they're old [earliest mention of ML530 G2 I've found is 2004] and B) it's Croyden.

Croyden is far. We're moving to CC4 and have to replace our current server, but these seem just as old as the one we can't use anymore.

I have just broken down a load of dl380 and dl360'd all g3's and to be honest we are struggling to get rid of them. Even the G4's are really not worth the hassle of trying to use them

Sadly old servers just seem to be a space hog..

As for free nas, you could build a 1TB free nas with an old laptop + external usb drive and use masses less power.

I'd rather get rid of the whole lot.

can you put up a picture? I'll take the lot and just recycle the server.

EDIT: how many network cards does it have?
