I saw this outside a church in Bowness (Cumbria) a couple of weeks back and thought I'd share it

Funny you should post that because I saw a load of them just last week and had to do a double take. They were protecting roadside spaces so that the funeral procession could all park together.

Most churches and chapels round here use these to stop tourists blocking the entrance by parking inappropriately. Doesn't seem to stop tractors though!

We have them round here for the funerals, local churches also have A boards they put out as people just plop cars anywhere and its not great when the hurse is miles away from the church
