Hi,

I'm looking for some information regarding the The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2012. Reading on the legislation website here, are schools now required to fulfill the information on the webpage from September 2012?

Has anyone looked further into this and is it a requirement that we will have to fulfill for a School website?

Thanks for any help and information.

We are currently working towards having all of this information available by September, although I'm not sure we will quite have everything by then. We are hoping that by at least making a start on it we will be OK.

Yes, it is a requirement. We already had most of the info scattered round our site but for clarity have made a new "Statutory Information" section with links to it all. There's a couple of bits I'm waiting for from other SMT but it's nearly complete.

Thanks guys, so it's not some company trying to make some money as per an email received offering to add the information for £99 and is a genuine legislation.

Does this aspect apply to independent schools?

No. The act applies only in England as well; the other countries will have their own regulations.

However, you can bet your bottom dollar that ISI will insist on this for schools to pass inspection. Our last inspection was at the end of last year and we were expected to provide all the original 2008 act documents online.
