tdh1987 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Hi I have been asked if it possible to set two homepages in internet explorer so that when a student launches internet explorer it starts one homepage in one tab and another in the next tab. I'm thinking it isn't possible, what do you guys think? Thanks for reading. Tom.
vyperz Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Yes it is possible , open Internet Explorer , goto internet options, in the Home Page box , type your two homepages one under each other. You can alos do it via GPO. 1
tdh1987 Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Hi Thanks for your help. I'm struggling to find a GPO that will allow me to end two or more URL's, can you offer anymore help? Thanks. Tom
vyperz Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Disable changing secondary home page settings When you enable this policy you can set what the secondary home pages are, and prevent the user from changing them. 1
tdh1987 Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) You're a star Thanks Edited June 28, 2012 by tdh1987
garethEds Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Look out though - for some reason on our network it doesn't load the double home pages unless the users presses Home. It also wants to add in MSN.co.uk to the mix even though we have not added it. Gareth
