vyperz Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Just installed Spiceworks at two Academies I am doing work for at the moment. Can't fault it really. Free and does most things you would expect from a helpdesk - also some good management reporting ( non standard - look through the How To's )
LiamH Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Spiceworks here too, does everything we need and runs fine
john Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Spiceworks for us and doing very well with it, I have even done a separate customised version with all scanning and most of the integration turned off for the Site Team and they are using it so its simple for staff and that is working well now which is good
sjatkn Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 OTRS (IT Service Management Software - Free Open Source Help Desk - Problem Management System - Customer Interaction Software | OTRS). Very powerful open source helpdesk which can be configured to be ITIL compliant with incident management, problem management, service and configuration management and change request management. Sends and receives emails or a web interface.
mattobrienit Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I work with Dell KACE. It can do what you are are asking, however as mentioned by several users above it is more than just a Help Desk service. You can learn more here
