Hi

Does anyone else run a 2008 R2 terminal Server as a VM in VSphere? The reason i ask is that i have just set one up with remote apps etc and CPU runs really high at 90 -100% with just two users only running SIMS.net. The VM has 4gb RAM and 2 CPUs.

Not sure if there are any best practices in regards to running Remote Desktop Services as a VM?

Thanks

I have a similar set up with just SIMS and office on the server and I don't see that kind of usage. Mine has about 6 gig I think and 30 teachers take their registers every lesson on that. SIMs is a remote app but that shouldn't make too much difference. Edited by ChrisH

We used to, then we moved to more beefy physical servers. At the time for the amount of users we had it worked a treat!

Ours is virtualisd with 8gig of RAM and I see high loads with 30 - 40 users on but it seems to be fine with 2 like you mentioned.
