So guys where are you playing now, struggling to find anyone in my friend list who plays Dayz, and playing on my own is bit boring.

Let me know and I will join you if you don't mind.

I currently play here: http://www.foxcompanygaming.com/origins, you'll need the Origins sub-mod though. Vanilla gets boring quickly. Members of my gaming community (not Fox Company) play there, there's about 6-7 of us at the moment. They play most nights, I play on odd nights as I don't have as much time as I used to.

Played on Dayz once in the last month.... saying that my home PC has hardly been on in that time. Time of year I suppose with "sun" and all that.

Has anyone got to the point where you're thinking that despite the "done when it's done" motto Rocket is sticking to, it's really about time that something was released? A December release was adventurous, but we're 5 months past that now. I thought the idea of following the minecraft model was to get "something" alpha-like out there ASAP and continue develop it?

Last I read regarding a forecasted release was "nothing until June/July". I think that was on their dev blog a few weeks ago.

Join us, on.... Counter Strike Source! :D

You're all nuts.

We all have nuts!

Don't make me get my knife... wait, this is starting to sound a little serial killer-y.

Don't make me get my flashbang!

Clearly you never played Indiana Jones on the Atari 2600

I did actually, and it's the 3rd worst game ever.

I'm not sure I'm happy about the initial £20 (pre) Alpha price tag. I would have been happy at £10/£15, but considering it's going to go up in price the further it gets developed, it's put me off a bit.

Part of me wants to get it right now and play as I do miss playing DayZ. The other half is over DayZ due to the sheer amount of time it's taken to hit Stream and the fact most people stopped playing. It's not as much fun on your own.

Its listed on the BI store page that beta is expected to be a year away. I expect like ARMA it'll be £30 for the beta and £40 full price.

Having to put batteries in the touch was a good indication of the detail. The ability to punch zeds was a nice addition. Rough around the edges, some aspects are a step back but are clearly placeholders (food/water indication), all servers are based on Central Euro time (so its always dark for me) but if its hacker free that's enough for me.

If they have vehicles in the pre-alpha, I implore you not to buy it. For the sake of the rest of us who want to stay alive more than 10 seconds!

I don't think they do. Besides, you keep getting in my way.

Also, your one to talk. You blew up a quadbike by simply driving across a bridge!!!

I do believe that mishap was down to unmaintained roads in Lingor. I have already written a letter of complaint to the Lingor Government asking them why I pay road tax if these gaping potholes will not be filled in.

I did not, however, let someone get out of my vehicle to search a backpack then conveniently run them over. Nor did I crash a car and have to wait 5 minutes for my passenger to regain consciousness.

And I don't think we even need to bring up the leg breaking helicopter incident now do we!
