Is Apple using boo boo hard drives?

I'll start off with the I'm a windows guy, and I've been tasked with supporting a few macs in one of my client's environment. Since being tasked with that I've had to have apple replace two hard drives. I booted to the disk ran the repair utilities still blue screening the two Imacs are less than half a year old too...

 

What do you guys think?

do they boot in safe mode? (shift at startup)

Boot them in single user mode (Apple +S on boot), run fsck -fy to check the drive structure.
